takraw

Does anybody know where people play takraw in Udon Thani? I play takraw myself (in Holland), and next month I will be visiting Udon for the first time. On the map i saw there are a few parks in town (Nong Prajak, Nong Sim). I will be staying in Kumphawapi, but the bus ride to Udon town is not that far. Can anybody help me out, thanks a lot. Johnny

Don't think you will find many Farangs playing Takraw but it is very popular with the Thai's. You will most likely see some high school kids playing it in Kumphawapi and also around any of the University's.

It is very popular with high school students in Toronto, Canada although they call it hackey-sack.

When I was last in Udon, I remember seeing billboard signs about an international tournament to be held in Udon sometime in September or October.
