Swimming Pool in West Udon

Post by 430xc » March 28, 2014, 3:21 pm

I am looking for a good swimming pool in west Udon to use for exercise. I prefer to be in a pool that is quiet and not very busy. I have been to the Ban Chiang Hotel pool twice and it is OK but does not have the best reputation according to other swimmers.

Are there other good pools available for public use on the west side of Udon that people can suggest I try?

Thanks

Napalai Hotel, Pracha Raksa Road used to allow non-guests to use the pool for a 100 baht I think.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I understand the pool at Napalai Hotel is closed. I will look into the sport school pool.

Cheers

99 baht also for spectators. No food or bevvy and can't smoke. Voucher's like a food hall inside for a very limited menu.

Don't know if it's been upgraded but I went there with my daughter about eight months ago and it was beginning to look rundown with unkempt gardens and sharp edges on the tiles in the pool.

Unfortunately there is a large construction project going on @ BB Resort. Acquaintance who lives in one of the old VOA houses across from the pool told me there still are no chairs, other than the old broken down ones poolside. Construction noise, traffic and workers milling around detracts from using the pool.

went there myself the other day, lucky the steel cuttng and grinding stage is over and the thai worker are now milling around at a snails pace. looks like they will have beer and ice cream next to the pool, not sure when completion is due. i will let you know. one thing i do love about the pool is it quite shaded and nice and deep so stays cool even in this weather
