You all do realise that no tracking or even ID is required for a brisk walk around the large water features in Udon is required.
It is not only better for you than sweating in a Gym, but FRFEE as well, all it needs is your own effort . Gyms or a particular equipment is required for specific muscle building exercises, ( possibly in the arms to be able to maintain use while drinking ) , otherwise, jogging or if older brisk walking is the best exercise anyone can do .

It is I have to agree, it’s nice walking around the lake, some of the sights are a beauty to behold but don’t forget your ID, it’s law we carry ID us at all times.

I think you'd be a mug to be retired (or time wealthy) and not to be doing some resistance or strength training. Go do the reading. The case is overwhelming.

Your advice on exercise sounds like an opinion or preference rather than fact Paul.

Personally I find gyms a bit tedious, trust me I’m no advert but when I do exercise I prefer a walk around the park, I’ve found it a bit too hot the last couple of months, now it’s cooling down a bit I’ll get back to it, I’m beginning to realise the importance of doing something.

Gyms in Udon Thani

Post by rct » June 23, 2020, 8:52 am

We are coming from Phuket Town where Alpha is the swank new gym of very high caliber, cost around 30,000 baht per year. I hated to give it up as we relocate back to Udon.

Must say 9D gym has amazing facilities and beats Alpha, lots of equipment, some nice chill out zones, even an AC gym for half court basketball! A worthy destination, it does take effort to reach the location. 1500 for one month or 4200 baht for 3 months is the way to try it out at 9D, and works out lower per month if joining for 6 or 12 months.

How is Fitness First holding up, good maintenance on equipment? Cost per year? I suppose is around 5-6 years old by now.

IIRC it was noticeably more than 9D. The rent, alone, must be a killer in Central. Yes, around five or six years old sounds about right. The 9D equipment is only around 2-3 years old, I think. They keep that place in immaculate condition.

to just have a little equip at home( imho) not
being an olympic athlete
