Boggles the mind! How can they NOT have at least 1 show per day (or even on just 1 or 2 designated days) in English? WTH? He's Captain Friggin' America, for cryin' out loud...

apparently it's not profitable. Past attemts of English sound track showings drew little if any customers.

Maybe all farangs and others who want to see movies in English should protest at Major, Central Plaza.
Normally they have 2-3 movies every month in English, but it seems not to be the big movies. Last movie in English was Sabotage, Arnold`s latest, which premiered last week.

SF at Landmark has maybe 1 or 2 movies in English every month, but Nevada (opposite UD) is thai only, as far as I know.

Somewhat like a Thai getting mad if there were no movies in Thai at a theatre in North America. We are a small minority accept it.

Yes, but only if it was thai movies being shown, and dubbed to another language.
Most movies being shown in Bangkok are shown in it`s original language, so why not more English in Udon. Captain America is shown in English in Ubon and Korat (2 of 8 Major`s in North-East), and at 5 of 9 Major`s in North + 2 other movies in English at several of them there now.

Probably because they couldn't find anyone to dub it into English from the original American soundtrack :-k

Amazingly they can find someone to dub the Charlie Chaplin silent movie DVD's and have you ever seen the Rowan Atkinson Mr Bean DVD dubbing? Terrible.

Was looking at the schedule on Major`s website today, and Captain America is now being shown in English, but only 1 time per day (8.30PM today). I might go see it this weekend.

Also Johnny Depp`s new movie, Transcendence, are being shown in English.

I live closer to Khon Kaen than Udon Thani. I don't know what the Farang population there is but they always have movies in English at Central Khon Kaen.

it seems sad that so many view the lack of movies in English a problem and as for a fictional character not being played with English being spoken even worse than sad.
Personally I'll wait until it is out on DVD or on the Satellite, rather than fight my way into a cinema in town with the parking and the traffic and then have to sit through many people talking in a language I neither know , nor understand as they explain to those who do not understand the spoken english in the film.
