Ere we go again ....
Where the ell did i put that english/froggy froggy/english phrase book ....
The fee which Newcastle will pay Monaco for French striker Emmanuel Riviere could be as high as £6million. The 24-year-old made 30 appearances in Ligue 1 last season, scoring 11 goals.
Maxime Dupuis, Eurosport France: "He is the kind of player who loves space. Reminiscent of Loic Remy, maybe more powerful, but less talented than him. He had a good start last year, but lacked consistency. He can fit in your championship."
And that's probably where he will be playing in season after next

Well it looks like 1 in for Chelsea...
Is Fernando Torres really going to stay for another season of inaction??
& 1 out...Chelsea announce they have reached agreement with Atletico Madrid to sign left-back Filipe Luis.
No real surprise that it is a defender in & an attacker out...Chelsea striker Demba Ba hints he is close to joining Turkish side Besiktas after tweeting a picture of himself with the message: I've come @Besiktas. Vodafone Arena very beautiful, come on.

A man who has just risen considerably in my estimation..
Well done...Germany and Arsenal player Mesut Ozil is to donate his £350,000 World Cup winnings to the children of Gaza, reports the International Business Times.
Ozil is set to give the £237,000 bonus he received for helping Germany win the final, and the £118,000 he received for Germany's semi-final win.

Don't suppose he mentioned anything about ..... If we dabble (in or out) again before the window closes we will donate 10% of the fee (paid/received) to charity :-"Zidane wrote:Chelsea boss,Jose Mourinho, says his sides summer spending is complete following the signing of Atletico Madrid left back,Filipe Luis.

Liverpool are close to signing QPR striker,Loic Remy for 8.5m GBP,after the clubs agreed to the fee and just personal terms to be finalised now.
Sunderland have signed Liverpool striker,Fabio Borini, for 14m GBP.Borini spent last season on loan at the Stadium of Light.
So,one in one out at Anfield. If Remy is valued at 8.5m GBP,Sunderland appear to have shelled out a lot for Borini ??

Don't think Borini has actually signed yet. Clubs agreed (OTT) fee but he's stalling as he wants to stay at Liverpool

Manchester Uniteds new 2014/15 kit sponsored by Chevrolet officially goes on sale in shops on Wednesday 23rd July.
However, red faced staff at JD Sports in Bristol admitted they had accidentally sold a white away top prematurely when the kit was erroneously put on the shelves a week early.
The kit was removed from the shelves as soon as staff realised their error.
This doesnt appear to have stopped Robinsons in Central Plaza,in the paradise city of Udon Thani in the North East of Thailand.Last Thursday I was in there and the Manchester United shop/stall on the 2nd floor was selling the new Red Chevrolet home kits for around 2,350 baht !
The quality looked pretty good, which I would expect for that price.....certainly much, much better than the 150 baht Adunyadet Road offerings.
The tops have the official merchandise tags on them, also.
The new kits are also on sale online at Manchester Uniteds megastore and the equivalent cost is 51.50 GBP,which equates to around 2,800 baht.
So,maybe the tops in Robinsons are the real deal ??

Way too pricey for me, when with the Chevrolet link, I only want to clean the car with it.

http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/28402355Alvaro Negredo: Manchester City striker out with broken foot
There has been a lot of media talk that he wanted out of Citi.
I guess that is one way of making sure it won't happen...
In fairness the man himself did say he was happy where he was..
http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/28401447Dider Drogba considering Chelsea return on one-year deal
Well I think that he is just about the only striker that Mourinho rates... But 36???
I certainly would not object to that...Spanish newspaper Sport are reporting that Manchester United are nearing a €20m (£17m) agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign 25-year-old German centre-back Mats Hummels.
I think Madrid are being a bit mean holding out to get more than £13m to take Torres..Metro are reporting that Chelsea are in negotiations with Atletico Madrid over the transfer of Fernando Torres.
The Spanish version of Eurosport claims the La Liga champions are keen to bring the striker back to his first club after a seven years in England but are unwilling to meet Chelsea's asking price of £13m.
Football Rumours Mark 2
Yes,it does look as though Hummels will be coming to Old Trafford for between 16m-17m.That seems very, very cheap for a player of his stature.
Maybe United are giving Dortmund,Nani Cleverley Anderson and Young for free ?
Wouldnt be surprised if Shinji Kagawa is part of the deal if it goes through, though.
Possible bad news for Chelsea fans as Manchester City are now saying they are interested in signing Didier Drogba.
And Stoke City have announced that they will pay the travel bills for fans who use the official club coaches for all 19 Premiership away matches next season.....great gesture by the club ! =D>

Looks like the new players are at least good enough to play in the "A" league then :-"
Newcastle United paid tribute to the two fans lost in the Malaysian Airlines tragedy with a comfortable 4-0 win over Sydney FC in Dunedin, New Zealand.
A debut goal from Emmanuel Riviere and an Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa deflected effort followed Siem de Jong’s opener and substitute Adam Armstrong added a fourth eight minutes from time.
Wreaths were laid and a minute’s silence held before kick-off in memory of Newcastle fans John Alder and Liam Sweeney, who were lost when flight MA17 came down in Ukraine.
And when the match did get underway, Newcastle were gifted their opener. A horror miscue from Sydney keeper Ivan Necevski fell straight to Riviere and he passed to fellow new signing De Jong to slide into an empty net.
RIviere then turned from provider to scorer from Gouffran’s pass and Yanga-Mbiwa added a deflected third before Armstrong rounded things off late in the game.
Newcastle conclude their tour of New Zealand against Wellington Phoenix at the Westpac Stadium on Saturday.

Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward insists Louis van Gaal will be given the money required to 'to win the title'.
Think someone needs to remind him that Man Utd play in England not in Italy ........ hopefully referees in England are above that type of corruption.

Real Madrid have signed Monaco and Colombia forward,James Rodriguez 23,on a 6 year deal.
The fee could rise to 71m,dependent upon appearances, and is the fourth highest in history behind those of Cristiano Ronaldo,Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez.
Rodriguez won the "Golden Boot" at the 2014 World Cup Finals in Brazil with 6 goals in 5 matches for Colombia.

Everton Ferried themselves across The Mersey to draw 2-2 in a friendly at Prenton Park with Tranmere Rovers. Toffees made 10 2nd half outfield substitutions. Seems many of them want to save themselves for "Nana Plaza" on Sunday Night when they'll be in BKK for another friendly, Everton (Chang) v Leicester City (individual Power) in a foretaste of their opening day fixture at "The Walker Stadium"
