Halifax lost there 100% record in the Conference after they lost 2-1 at Bristol Rovers to a last minute goal.
They are replaced at the top on goal difference by Barnet who won 2-0 at Southport.
Gateshead go 3rd after they came from behind to beat Chester 2-1.
Macclesfields good start to the season continues after they had a comfortable 2-0 home win over Eastleigh. :D
At the bottom,Alfreton remain pointless after they were beaten 2-0 at home by Braintree.

Cheltenham joint top of League 2 after beating Hartlepool 1-0 at home......Nottingham Forest still top of the Championship after a 1-0 away victory at Sheffield Wednesday.
And below, tennis ace Serena Williams celebrates Scunthorpes first victory in League 1 whilst paddling in Nong Sim last night !

Little known fact that Miss Williams is a huge Scunny fan ...but our secret is out the bag now.

Can't argue with that DM, there ain't too many of them to the ton :-&

Nice to see that Crawley Town (who were known as the non league Man Utd a few years ago) only did marginally better than the real Man U, being beaten 2 - 0 at MK Dons. Does that mean that the copy is twice as good as the original :-k

IMO more prawn sarnie munchers should start to follow the game in its raw grass roots form and support teams like Scunny , forget the big 3 .... Chelsea , Man City and Liverpool and get behind those smaller clubs like Scunny , Newcastle ,Sunderland , Spurs , Arsenal and Man U ..... the latter certainly needs all the blooming help and support they can get this season or relegation could be a real prospect

Yes will be in for the ruby ... make sure Andrew makes plenty of onion bhajis this time im wearing my shop lifting parka with big deep pockets [-X heres some pocket sized bhajis i liberated last curry evening :^o

First Division Coventry City made an emotional return to the Ricoh Stadium last night,503 days since they last played there.
And the huge crowd of 27,306 who turned up to watch were rewarded with a 1-0 victory over Gillingham.
Because of a dispute between the clubs owners and the owners of the Ricoh Stadium,Coventry had to play all of last season at Northamptons Sixfields ground.
This meant a round trip of 64 miles for each home game,so hardly surprising the average gate last season was just over 2,300.....better times around the corner for Coventry, maybe ?
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Barnet remain on top of the Conference on goal difference after a last minute goal saw them beat Alfreton 2-1.
FC Halifax remain level with Barnet after a narrow 1-0 win over Aldershot.
Macclesfields unbeaten start to the season ended when they were beaten in the Cheshire derby by Chester 1-0.

In League 2 the big match was between the two leading clubs Cheltenham and Morecambe.Cheltenham got a good away point in the 0-0 draw which sees them remain one point clear at the top.

Town undefeated in 6, but could only draw away at Morecambe.
It does mean that they go top by a point from yesterday's foe, so not all bad.
They need to stack up the points prior to Christmas though if previous seasons are anything to go by.
Who knows if it carries on like this they may just float past the Iron come May..

With Barnet not playing till tonight,Halifax returned to the top of the Conference after drawing 1-1 at Macclesfield.
Alfreton got their first point of the season with a 1-1 draw at home to Altrincham.
Woking go up to 3rd after a 1-0 away win at Aldershot,Gateshead are 4th after beating struggling Telford 4-1 and Torquay are up to 5th after a 2-0 away win at Chester.
