yo richyhop nevermind the kooks LOL you won't see them out there on the road anyways as they are stuck to their seats with a stale beer in the left hand and mouse or their mini-sausage in the right, playing keyboard or is that 'key-bored'-warrior.

couple of the others in this thread spot on though they've been here a long time and are really about riding, vs sabotaging food promo threads.

as to bikes, kawasaki never preferred. at least not here in LOS but maybe I'm biased. yeah i'm definitely biased.

my former staff had a black Honda CBR500x that he modified to look & sound like a bigger more powerful bike than it was. I'd say one of those is enough if you are stepping past 200cc bike.

-but when it comes to Thailand's long open roads in between towns why not just get a Big Bike and cruise with power, seems what all the gents & ruff-n-tumble types in here like anyhow as riding a crotch rocket can get old or tiresome.

as a kid my parents were real biker types, this was California in like 1973-1977 and we'd hit the road & camp in the mountains, then come down and open it up across the flatlands and then back to Long Beach, this was all harleys of course and badasss ones at that as my dad & his mates were all mechanic types most fresh back from the war.

*f*r*e*e*d*o*m* was and is what it's all about, damn the danger, if you ride for real you already know how to *handle* whatever comes.

at least here one can still make a long run and have a good time, try that *back home*, no way the *soul is gone* from those roads. enjoy those sunsets while u still can.

old pic, not sure of the bike which model but that was our car too, me on the tricycle out of frame. those were the days.

Ok mis-understanding I thought you were a newbie to the motorcycle riding fraternity, however my remarks still stand about silly /stupid riders.

I have a 500x and it's a wonderful bike. I got it with the plan of taking long trips. I feel it's a bit large for riding around town, but workable. My wife has a 300f, and honestly, if I didn't already have the 500, the 300f would be tempting. I don't like the leaning ride position of the CBR series - the 300f is upright, and to me, a lot more comfortable. I just wish Honda had done a 300x. :-)

Nice. Ironhead Sporty with a 21" front wheel. The most difficult bike i've ever had the pleasure of kick starting. Worse than 500cc single thumpers aka BSA B33 or Velos.

Yon must be old Guzzi if you had to kick those classics over ? lol
My classic would be the Yamaha SR 500 which could be a pig at times ..
If you like kick starting bikes you could always have a new Yamaha SR400 with kick start only !

Still got my (purchased new) '79 T140 Bonneville, c/w stroker billet steel crankshaft to 830cc. Piece of piss to start 20 years ago, not so now with my knees.

When you've owned something as soulful and characterful as a pushrod parallel twin for 35 years, you can never sell it. When i'm gone it will belong to my son.
