Ecclestone said that the location has now been chosen, and specified that the race would come a year later.
Ecclestone said that the race is backed by Chalerm Yoovidhya, the fourth-richest man in Thailand through his 51% stake in Red Bull.

Udon has some fantastic roads and infrastructure almost perfect for hosting F1. A shame we're not in competition as a venue.

Sad it's not coming here because I would have looked forward to having a 'gander' at 'unlucky' Chamipon Hamilton's missus. Poor bar steward having to contend with this now the season's over.

F1 coming to Thailand?
It could still be on the cards with the new Chang international race track in Buri Ram as they are certification for F1 and Moto GP as of a few months ago. They already have there first international bike race WSB superbikes on 22 March 2015 so I think in time it will come and for sure Newin has the cash.

I like the look of this track, a fast and quite simple track to what we have in Singapore in which i think there should be about 2 or 3 layout changes in order to make the track faster for a slightly shorter race.
