Mourinho said, in ban interview on Sky Sports:
"The world is full of nasty people who don't like Chelsea" [-X [-o<
A corrected and, I suggest, a factually more correct version:
"The world is full of nice people who admire Chelsea FC, and its players, but don't like its nasty manager, Mourinho =D>

The FA has opened a can of worms in breaking its own rules, by reducing the three match suspension imposed on Matic. There is no disputing he committed the offence, (violent conduct), and should suffer the consequences, of which he was aware. The only alternative action open to the FA was to find the referee was in error, which he clearly wasn't, in red carding him.
Since it has chosen to break its own rules, (assuredly providing cannon fodder for Mourinho for the rest of the season [-X ) surely the best course for the FA to have adopted would have been to 'red card' Barnes and suspend him for three games, at the same time issuing a 'gobbledygook' statement justifying its action. :-k
By his means, justice would have been served, and have been seen to be served, to the satisfaction of all fair minded, neutral fans. :D

Yes,I think if the FA had handed down retrospective punishment to Barnes, being the same length ban as Matic, most fair minded fans would have been satisfied.
But,for me,the one who deserves an indefinite ban is the referee Martin Atkinson. =; I know referees can have a bad game, just like players and maybe he was tired after refereeing a mid-week UEFA League match but this guy has been absolute rubbish year after year, match after match, season after season !
Its true he's not Conference standard and is the worst of a bad bunch in the Premiership, which is saying something !

If Atkinson deserves an indefinite ban ....... I sure as hell wouldn't like to be Michael Oliver, lord only knows what he will end up with

Meanwhile in today's papers LvG says United are missing a 20 goals a season striker.

I can think of one, used to be quite good up front

That's not an option Macca ....... LvG's midfield would collapse like a pack of cards if he removed Rooney's work rate from there

Maybe LVG was thinking about vintage Berbatov 2010/11 season and his amazing workrate ? ;)

Well personally I am delighted that vG is looking for a 20 goal a season man..
It will be interesting to see if he plays centre half or fullback.. :D

If the De Gea rumours are half true, he could end up in goal :-"

Nice comment from Leroy on preview prog .... LvG hasn't got any 20 goal a season guys ....... he has THREE twenty five goal guys

West Ham 1-3 Crystal Palace
Big win for Palace & thoroughly deserved.
Bit nail biting when they were reduced to 10 & then The Hammers scored, but that just added to the enjoyment.

Good for Crystal Palace. I remember their home grounds with much fondness.

What a surprise. VanG finds his 20 goal a season man &, guess what, he was in the side all the time. Just playing out of position.
Now if he actually learns from this (some hope :( ) then maybe he will stop playing other players out of position as well.
Who knows, then they may actually start to win games by playing as a team, instead of a collection of guys who have just accidentally met up in a pub..

It might just be that Rooney and Falcao are the front line pairing United have needed all season ?
Van Persie has only had two decent games all season and, mercifully,is out injured and Wilson, although quick, isnt quite Premiership material yet.
I quite like Herrera,as well. He's a tidy little player who always gets involved but doesnt seem an automatic choice under LVG.....same with Mata.
We could do with wins for Citeh and Everton tonight. With Southampton losing it could give us a bit of breathing space in the top 4 if those two can beat Liverpool and Arsenal as well.
But back to the Sunderland match.....the ref sent off Wes Brown but it looked like O'Shea made the tackle to me ??
