Well, I think we'll see your response quite soon given the government seems to have got considerably worse since good government was supposed to have started.
Bishop and Turnbull at times now have to openly contradict Abbott given they care about the politics rather than just self-preservation.

You mean a "yes" like this one - posted 6 minutes prior to your dumb, rhetorical question:ronan01 wrote: March 1, 2015, 9:40 amThe questions are not too difficult Comrade, a single yes or no will suffice.
Is this the same Brian Burdekin who was:
1. A staff member to Gough Whitlam?
2. A staff member to the Hawke-Keating government?
3. Chief minder to labour Deputy Prime Minister Lionel Bowen (under PM Hawke)?
Would that make him a true believer?
Labor (Keating) introduced mandatory detention.

No I intentionally left Gillard out. I think she was way better than "too flawed to last long as Prime Minister". She was Prime Minister in very difficult circumstances thanks to Rudd, Abbott and a small majority. Abbott has had it easy apart from his tendency to kick himself and others in the arse way too often.
His language while in New Zealand about IS was noticeably over the top with emotion. For a well educated man he doesn't seem to be very analytical. He seems to have responded to Triggs with his emotions. We saw what a reasoned response might look like from Turnbull.

Such strong sentiment from a Kiwi about an Australian PM, and Australian politics,GT93 wrote:555+noosard wrote:You forgot Gillian

People Are CCing George Brandis Into All Their Emails Because Data Retention Means He’ll Read Them Anyway
By Alex McKinnon, 2/3/2015
Despite public opposition, no evidence of similar policies working anywhere in the world, major questions on cost, precise scope of powers and human rights implications going unanswered, and the government’s own Communications Minister on the record describing it as a terrible idea, it looks like the government’s controversial data retention proposal is going to go ahead.........
Let me be clear: Junkee in no way endorses or encourages readers to CC Attorney-General George Brandis in on random emails, or send him dumb stuff for the lols. On a completely unrelated note, George Brandis’ work email is [email protected] if you want to send him your expressions of sympathy during this difficult time.

I think I'll CC him copies of all of Ronan's post too. They'll be right up his alley.

Well what a day in Canberra today eh.
BULLY BOY BRUISER BRANDIS censored by the Senate. Majority vote. Not just from Labor.
Tells me his recent attitude is not accepted by The Senate.

I have very little time for Brandis and Pyne. I hope Turnbull or Bishop demote both of them.
Pyne should go get a job in the real world and then after 2 decades of real work try to enter Parliament again. I think it's sad how too many MPs from both sides seem these days to be career politicians from such a young age.

I think Prince Phillip, Moses or even Don Bradman if any of them were available would struggle to get that budget through the Senate wazza.

ronan01 will enjoy that link. The good old days when Doctor No and his team were at full steam. It's way tougher being the PM than Doctor No. I think Doctor No is going to double down on fear as he struggles to survive over the next few weeks. Lock your doors if you're in Oz ...

Yes, Sir Don. Anyone who faced Harold Larwood with by modern standards, bugger all protection, deserved their baggy green. The gong would be a lesser award but fortunately the Mad Monk can't dish out baggy greens otherwise Sir Phillip, Peta and may be even ronan01 would be walking around in baggy greens.wazza wrote:Sir Don please. Graffiti in the bog of an Australian friendly pub on Fulham Road which some might find amusing.

Bill Shorten has a plan to get Labor back in government: tell the truth.
But he's conceded this could be challenging for the federal Labor party.

I can only imagine how hard it will be for shorten and labor to tell the truth - might have to acknowledge that he and his mates created an economic crisis and are doing their best to make it work.
Whining Bill Shorten - a disgrace.

What economic crisis you idiot? All Shorten and Wayne Swan did was prevent Australia joining the economic crisis created by rich men's greed in the USA and Europe. You Tories love to invent economic crisis so you can screw the poor further into the ground - it's your only plan and pleasure - the rich get richer and screw the rest.ronan01 wrote:Bill Shorten has a plan to get Labor back in government: tell the truth.
