Good 2nd dig by Australia. Can't see any on TV but ball by ball updates give some info on n how difficult it must be. If we can sneak another hundred we could be home for a 1-0 lead. Long way to go though.

Didn't take too long for the Indians to capitulate big time.
Aussies win by 333 runs.
The Indians produce a an absolute crappy pitch to help them keep their #1 ranking but it has back fired big time
I suppose with the commentary saying they can now try a reversal of the tactic and produce a pitch that people can bat on for at least 3 days.
Opening with spin bowlers is not good cricket.
Plus they have no idea about the wicket review system that they hated and would not implement for so long. Wssted each of their reviews.

Thought I better start a new thread on this one now Barney. As good a test match win as we have had in a long time. It's beautiful thing when the home team doctor the wicket and it comes back to bite them on the bum. Great knock by the captain and the no - name left arm orthodox spinner with 12 for 70 for the match...... wow not bad even for a New South Welshman.
Hopefully the rest of the tour is as good to watch as the last three days has been.

Good idea to start afresh.
Great knock by Smith and also Starc had a very good impact with the bat and ball.
But the NSW boy did go hard with a couple of hats full of wickets.

And not to go off topic to far, It was courageous and kind of you to mentioned the NSW side, as I didn't see any post or a slight mention from you when we of the humble state of NSW tied the Vic's to the whipping post when last we met in a shield game..

Second verse same as the first........ so far anyway. India won the toss and batted and were all out for 189 with the goat, Nathan (Gary) Lyon taking 8 - 50 on a track with massive cracks. In reply Aussies are 40 for no loss - stumps day 1. Would like to think that we can consolidate tomorrow and get a lead of 150 plus as the wicket is not going to improve and batting last will be a nightmare.

India's first winning day of the series even with Virat failing again. Real challenge now for the Aussie boys if they need to chase 200 plus on this track. But India's batting today shows that if you get in and have a bit of luck anything can happen.

Well,in the end,there was hardly time to consume a can of VB as Australia collapsed from 101-4 to 112 all out with Ashwin taking 6-41.
India now level the 4 match series at 1-1.
At least Australias bowlers are performing well as they prepare for the much sterner test against Englands specialist batsmen later in the year !

We dont chase low scores very well to win games at the best of times, add in an Indian pitch with more cracks than Soi Cowboy, and we didnt stand a chance

Australia must have got beat as the chief soap dodger has crawled out from under his rock to have a dig. Didn't read any comments when we were travelling ok but just the nature of the beast as always.
Boys just needed a bit of luck that they didn't get yesterday. Warner struck outside the line given out - appeals - clearly struck outside the line given out - poor umpiring - poor reviewing by 3rd umpire who must not have read the rule book. Marsh struck outside the line and the ball clearly missing didn't review - bad decision making by batsman and shithouse umpiring. Smith needed a shovel to dig out the one he got - he had a bat. Rest of the batsmen no excuses.
Need to have a bit of luck and win the toss in the 3rd of 4th test and should win the series. Aussies have been too nice with their sportsmanship crap. Time to get down in the gutter with the curry munchers for the next two tests give as good as we got yesterday. Gloves off and bring it on

Well Mitchel Starc ( NSW)has been sent home for medical reasons. Replaced by Pat Cummins(NSW).
Good move , the Indians will not have experienced him prior to this, maybe some hit and giggle 20/20 stuff.
Good news for some but not for the NSW fans who finally had something to cheer about and were on a roll to finish the Sheffield Shield season strongly and take on the Vic's in a final.
Cummins had his first Shield game in 6 years and cleaned up with an 8 for in the game. A shame he will miss the final if we make it but hopefully Virat will get his just desserts with some accurate fast bowling.

Cummins, if fit, will definitely be in the aussie team to cause havoc within our vast fast bowling stocks at Australia's disposal in the coming ashes series.
