ive been there a few times in the past few years, and must say unfortunately it definitaly has gone down a bit in quality, almost as if thomas lost interest in running the place,he was seemed more interested in other activities
so the staff can almost do what they want and specially the cleaners do,but not their job
the cleanliness of the rooms,ok give some benefit for thailand, but it could be better

still like the place as it is close to the market and thomas doesnt mind if you bring in your own food or use the kitchen, which is good as the food in the resort is not so good

cheers bc

Can't please everyone, I thought the food was good and my room was cleaned anytime I wanted it done.

That Thomas offers the use of the kitchen is interesting. I like to cook. Maybe I'll have a look at his place.

the food is as good as the girls reheat it in the microwave,as it is not freshly prepared on the premises, the german bratwurst from nobby are excellent
the thai food was better last time too

for the cleanliness,ok if you pay 24000baht a month for the room you dont expect to clean the cupboard before you can put your clothes in,and other things too

thomas and his family are very friendly and so is the staff, but the last touch has gone, imo, unfortunately,it was far better 5y ago, when we first visited

cheers bc

ps.propably return again, but not sure yet

I moved from the States a few years back with my wife and dog.

Thomas Resort is one of the few known places in Udon that allows guests to bring a dog.

I highly recommend it. Nice folks, clean and comfortable at good value.
