WBU Course: Village Life 101. Is this typical?

Long distance relationships, mixed relationships etc...

Postby laphanphon » April 29, 2008, 1:07 pm

about 70 kilometers away ive found just right, close enough for a proper visit, without them living on your doorstep and out of your fridge. and worst of all telling me how i should live my life, which usually equates to what they want or need.

sounds like you passed that course already. i hated people just walking in the house anytime of the day or night. stay as far as possible, or, since to lazy to hop on motorbike for a mere 15 minutes, that's way far enough. 8)

im not judging them or trying to educate them in any way, i understand what your saying rick, all i was pointing out was that is not the life for me. they are lovely people , but i like to keep some distance to maintain a good relationship between us all. they have there ways and i have mine, when i visit im always welcome and made to feel like one of the family, but i could not live amoungst them.

Again, I must live in a different World...........we live in a village about 2Km's from the Mother-in-law (Father-in-law has passed away) and there's an abundance of family member's....in laws had 13 kids after all. in no way what so ever have I committed either financial or emotional suicide. I get on with them all, they leave us alone and let us get on with our life, when we want to include them we do. Aso for the M-i-law, she's a diamond and welcome in my home anytime, she very often pops rounds and brings a bottle of Leo for me...... and for living out of my fridge - they would never think about it and even ask if they can have the smallest of theings like an apple...............WOW I guess I really am one of the lucky ones.............
