Doubtful that you will find any local establishments that will cater to NFL games - other than the Super Bowl (Harry's on the Ring Road does show that one each year).

You might be able to negotiate with a local bar that isn't overly populated with Brits and Aussies for a showing - but those bars are few and far between.

From what I have seen, there really isn't too much American sports shown over here. Soccer (football) and Rugby are more popular in Asia - and the rest of the world, than Grid Iron.

:D Philly :D although, do you really want to watch the Eagles.

not much NFL programming, maybe one live game a week, which means early in the morning, or maybe a couple replays, just don't watch the news, unless you don't mind knowing they lost before you watch the game.

Thanks for the info Doc, yea soccer is the sport of choice over here. just had to ask and this is the best outlet i've found for info from expats. i've been able to see the Sun. Mon night games with my breakfast and a few CBS games on UBC.
but my Eagles have not been avalable unless you have a high speed connection and then its a little pricey. I'll be checking back later, have to go to the fair in kumpawape.

Allthough a Brit I do enjoy watching AF. Been a Patriots fan for about 17 years. Remeber seeing there quater back, Logan I think his name was, demonstrate a "flee flicker" move in the pre-match interview. During the game it worked a treat. Stuck with them since.

There are four NFL games shown live each week on UBC. Two Sunday afternoon games, the Sunday night game and MNF.
The two Sunday afternoon games are shown live on channel 35 at 0100 and 0415 hours (Monday). The Sunday night game is shown live on channel 39 at 0815 hours (Monday). MNF is shown live on channel 39 at 0830 hours (Tuesday). If you do not have UBC you could go to the City Bar or Irish Clock for breakfast, they have UBC.
UBC also rebroadcasts these games, usually in the afternoon and evening that same day.

Looks like you already know about the pricey high speed connection but for any dyed-in-the-wool fans, here it is again:

US$24.99 (912 Baht) per week but you can watch any game scheduled. Hell, watch 'em all if you have the time or inclination.

Rugby? Cricket? Tennis? :D Even a good book!

Just thought I'd direct my answer to a more appropriate thread... :D Good to see you like some sports treehugger. Also I like a good read now and again. Here I find I concentrate a lot on my Longfellow.

Tennis is okay but as an Irishman I never got into the cricket thing.

Now just an observation right or wrong. When I was growing up rugby was known as a game for doctor's sons, it was more for the hooray Henry brigade. Soccer and Gaelic football were the sports of choice for the working classes. It seems to me that that is not the case in Britain. Especially Wales where you would have miners teams etc. So rugby in Britain seems to be classless.

Maybe this is why Italian rugby is a poor relation compared to soccer, it too is classless. At a match you could be sitting beside the Lazio nun on one side or a surgeon on the other.

Good to see treehugger has a good sense of humour.I quite like rugby, cricket and tennis myself but footie is the number one.
As a small boy I always used to play football, both at school and in leisure time.
But when I went to Grammar School the main sport was Rugby Union, although the kids still used to play football in their lunch hour.
I remember the first game of rugby I played,I was knocked unconcious by a flying tackle.....was always a bit wary after that !
But I like watching the Six Nations and keep an eye out for Sale Sharks results (eye out,not literally because of my playing experiences !).
