Hi,
Epson did a very good one with the bottles outside the printer. Worked very well and good colour. has more colours than HP. so very good for photos. The trouble with this type of printer is that if you do not use it a lot, the ink tends to dry up in the tubes. I used to print at least 30 A4 sheets a day and it worked ok. Went away for a three week holiday and when i came back i had to clean ink lines out before i could use it again. Seen one over here, the price i think was 3800B.
I'd go around all the shops, and make sure that they do repairs themselves. The likes of Tesco etc. is that they have to send them to BKK for repairs or servicing. They are cheaper to buy but is it worth it in the long run, to save 100B, UTY.
It really all depends how you intend to use it. Like a car, no one can tell you which one to buy unless they know how you intend to use it.
If buying a Printer/scanner the cheapest one to run, for home use, IMO is a H.P.. If you take off the label on the top of the cart. you will find a holes for refilling them. The 90 series cart. i found to be the best. Refills cost about 100B a bottle enough for ten refills. So about 10B for black and 30B for colour, per refill, Instead of nearly 600B for black and a bit more for colour carts.. I only buy new cart. once a year, or when the print quality drops. Epson you have to drill a hole in the top of the cart. and then put a stopper in. Can be done but messy work. Don't know about the latest Cannon as i have not used the newer ones.
Just been to Tesco's this morning, the one just passed the airport. they had a shop displaying comp. printers etc. This was on the ground floor where the moving stairs are. May be worth a visit.
Cheers Doug.
