Where to stay?

Postby yorky » August 29, 2006, 2:45 am

Having stayed at quite a few of the Hotels on my holiday visits to Udon, next time I would like to do something a little different.

I would like to rent a furnished apartment/house where I can do all the things that I would do at home. So, the self catering accomodation must include amongst other things a kitchen where I can cook to my hearts delight.

Are there any establishments that have these homely facilities 'close' to the centre of Udon and if so can I just rent it for 1 month?

Cheers

The only place I know of that has these kind of facilities is BB Resort, they are located on the north-western half of the ring-road just past the Orchid Farm. The have pleasant 1, 2 and 3 bedroom fully furnished houses with self-catering facilities.

Looks like their is a gap in the market for furnished condo's with a kitchen and a couple of bedrooms in the downtown area.

Yes lee you are right.
There is a gap in market for rental apartments/condo's inside the ring road.
The only ones I have seen, are the tiny one room with bathroom places.
There was a place for sale on FBI real estate. A condo overlooking Nong Prajak would be nice.

It is a new experience to me Udon Thani in more than one way. I visit Thailand 5-6 times a year and never have a problem to book hotels. As I am for the first going to Udon to stay with GF and also work, I try to contact the hotels via email. No response! Tried several times with the big one - no response. I would like to contact the Irish clock and am waiting for a reply.

Maybe some companies don't check their mail as frequently as others.

I'm sure the Irish Clock will respond shortly.

Hi

Thanks for the offer to help! I feel rather desperate soon if I cant make a booking. It is really odd because I have also tried to email a few other places including the biggest and supposedly best place - and they dont reply either!! I have stayed at more hotels in LOS than I can remember - but this experience is new to me!

I have sent you a pm. Great if they can reply to it. I must have hotel with internet connection and Irish Clock seem to do ok there. Hope it works out! Thanks and regards!

I have mailed several other hotels -- no reply! Amazing.....
I took a look at the Silver Reef and it sure looks colorful if anything! And price is certainly nothing to moan about?! But do you or anyone know how the place is to stay at? Internet is the most important for daily work so as long as that is hooked up ok - I can downgrade other demands! I have emailed them now - and if they return soon with a reply I will try the place!
Thanks and regards!
