women's formal dress

Post by sgt » October 12, 2016, 11:33 am

I believe I can take care of the suit for me. While I'm sure Robinson's has, are there any reccomendations for womens formal dresses?

Thanks

If you (she) are looking for Thai-style formal dress, try the Naka Market, about 16 km. north of Udon on the southbound side of the road to Nong Khai (route 2). You'll find lots of small shops stocking a wide variety of cloth, in both silk and cotton. If you don't see exactly what she wants, some of the shops have experienced seamstresses who will be happy to make whatever she likes.

Thanks, but she needs western style formal. The women at the affair she will be attending all wear western style. I should have said so in my first post.

This place has some unusual and very nice things. No idea about cost, though.

From what I can see, some pretty nice dresses. But, I can't read Thai and I don't do social media, especially facebook. Yea, looks nice but I'll bet a price tag to go along. I'll try to get one of her Thai or Lao friends to take a look next time I see them.

Thanks.

I have seen one place, besides the Complex just in passing some time ago, not far from the complex area but I'll be damned if I can remember where.

There's a place down Naresuan Road next to the prison.
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

If time is somewhat pressing, I would visit Robinsons and seek and ye shall find, may need spme alteration but I am sure a good tailoress can do that in 1/2 days.

This may help.My wife has had several things made here, ranging from a formal Red Cross uniform, both trousers and skirts and a rather nice jacket suit for formal wear . It's called simply Sma, is on the KK road, located on your right going from Udon, opposite the army camp at Non Song, thats before getting to the road license office .Look for a very big yellow duck coffee shop thats located right outside. Its a big place, lots of parking. It specialise's in military style uniforms made to measure, takes about 5 days and offers ready made suits, dresses and evening wear. Not cheap but surprisingly inexpensive for the quality.
When you see the yellow duck on your right, do a U turn about 500 mtrs further on , dual carriageway.
Ageing is a privilige denied to many .
