I'll do my best:
American Cheese Sandwich: You know the individually wrapped slices of processed cheese they sell here? Put a slice or two between two slices of bread (toasted or non-toasted), add mustard or mayonnaise to taste, optional lettuce & tomato.
Malted Milk: Think ice cream milk shake w/horlicks powder added (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horlicks).
Layer cake: Cake/layer of frosting/more cake/cover the thing with more frosting. Yes, IA, also a great movie.

Not forgetting the IT Dept. that takes an age to get around to fixing your computer.

Maybe not a Microsoft manual. Our IT Dept. would use 'PCs for Dummies', a quality book for amateur computer fiddlers.

Still, it's good to see Woolies have adapted to the Recession and plan to return. I think that may be part of the answer for some, tailor things a little bit (or alot) and change your game plan to survive. I always try to see the cup as half full - it's no use throwing your hands in the air and giving up, get on with it and try and get through the bad times (as Norman Tebbit once told me).

The other good news is that Iceland (the food company not the Vikings up north) bought some old Woolies shops and plan to use them as Iceland outlets. One of them is in Alton, close to me, so that's good news for the locals.

Keep smiling.
:D
