Yingluck in Udon .

The Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will be in Udon to chair a two day ministerial meeting at Rajabhat University on 21st/22nd February. Its part of the initiative to take the government out to the people in the Provinces .She will meet local representatives including the new Governor Khun Kaephet. The agenda is expected to include a discussion on government proposals to reduce and contain the rising crime rate associated with drug usage in the region. The proposal to build a new high security prison here as well as the further development of the town, both as a commercial destination and tourist attraction.
Also on the 21st The Red shirt group are staging a gathering in Tungsri Muang.It is not thought the two events are connected, neither is it expected the Prime Minister will attend .

Oh Jack you do disappoint me. I was trying to get you an invitation as well. Never mind maybe see you at the Tungsri Muang gathering instead .

They should sell tickets haven't seen a good comedy for a long time, maybe thematinee performance will be better suited for children to attend as most participants are similar in their attitudes and actions.

This will be a great day for the region and for the many loyal voters. Good to hear that they take drug problems seriously, too. As an "old social worker" I can not help seeing that this problem has grown in recent times!

This is an excellent policy by the Prime Minister. Most people in Thailand feel that government and politics takes place in Bangkok with little regard for the rest of the country. This act of reaching out by holding an important meeting in Udonthani will make it clear that this government wants to involve all regions in policy making.
