Glue sniffing is probably more dangerous than drugs. It fxxks the brain. I hope these kids were just youngsters having fun with a bit of booze. We were young and many of us silly once. I had forgotten about the glue sniffers. It was very popular in the late sixties, in particular, with 14-17 year old girls. One of them was still sniffing at 23. Fat Pat was her nickname.

These days it is Indians (natives) and Eskimo kids who sniff glue and gasoline in Canada.

According to reliable sources in the Sukhothai and Phitsanuloke areas, there is an epidemic of yaa ba and meth use among high school and university kids, and anything else that keeps them awake to study and be active on the dance floor. The Thai programme 'Hormones' brought this home to many parents, both wealthy and poor, by showing what their kids were up to.
