the OP would probably be taking the pup back to the wat when he's through with it, sounds like he is looking for a disposable puppy

Boo Boo has just had 10 pups (Fila Brasileiro) (10,000 B a pup kennel club registered)

But only to go to responsible homes, Fila's are not a breed for your average pet owner.... [-X
(Guaranteed no one uninvited will get through your gate)

as has been pointed not tough or expensive to get a puppy here. But, they are not stuffed toys that have to be cared for. You sure your friend is going to do that? If it's because they are cute as puppies I would have a million of them. But they don't stay puppies.

Seems an odd Gift

We ended up with one that way, he appears to be pure bred. Woman who abandoned him came back four months later wanting him. We got cleaned up all the shots not then so the answer was no.

As a puppy he was locked in the driveway, had very little attention. Doesn't even know how to play with people. We petted him through the fence when we walked our dog. So when he was abandoned he came to our home. Good dog easy to work with. If someone has spent a bit of time with him when he was a puppy. He would be outstanding.

Most to strays around here end up killed at some point.

There is a lot more to it then he is cute

I hope whoever your buying this puppy for understands all of that. Somehow I don't think so, puppy's are easy to get here.

AGREE 100%

Regarding the price of a puppy ... difficult to say as so many breeds and the prospective owners uses for the dog ,,, momkeymans giants look great but must go to a responsible owner with the right mindset and, location and facilities etc , a dog is for life not just Christmas .

BISTO was 1500 bt just under 4 years ago and with out doubt the best 30 quid ive ever spent .

Thanks for suggestions.

I understand the concern and I by no means treat a puppy or a dog as a toy. Rather as a companion and a friend. Of course, even as a gift, I fully expect my friend to take good care of it and I am confidence that my friend will, if not, never a chance will I get one.

Cheers to all :)

Ugotguts,

What size dog were you after and in what environment? House dog, yard or large land? Might help with your original question and advice on what breed.

Obviously the puppy is not for me... well... ;)
I do not want to be judgemental as your motivations towards buying a puupy for someone aren't clear and specific. Nonetheless, in my humble opinion:

1. If the puppy is meant to be a cute cuddly gift to a paramour, friend or person of interest.

It's wrong, naive and utterly irresponsible. A puppy is not a gift...unless, you are a father gifting his child one.

Even then, the likelihood of the father picking up the responsibility that comes with the 'puppy gift' is almost certain once the novelty of having a puppy as a gift wanes.

2. If the paramour, friend or POI indeed asked to be given a puppy.

Still it's wrong! As it's a relection of irresponsibility on that person's part.

The decision to have a puppy has to be weighed with utmost consideration, no stones unturned.

It has to be a dedicated and learned choice, with even the remotest possibility that could render the puppy to be subjected with anything less than 100% care, love and commitment considered seriously.

3. If you need to buy a puppy as a gift, I really feel sorry for you.

For if a puppy is ever needed/used/subjected to play a role in winning affection, you are certaily lacking in many departments...foremost, the natural charm of a man!

I could be wrong, though. As mentioned, I do not know the motivations behind your intention. But a puppy to be gifted...speaks volumes.

Turn your swag on if it's a lady friend! You don't need a puppy.

Apologies if your reasons are nothing but noble.

I am truly confused after reading some replies of yours Ugotguts.

Are you buying it for a 'friend'? Is having a puppy a decision you both made?

You replies varies and differs as I read it. It was a first person question and decision, then a mutual decision made by the both of you, and reverted to again being first person, even first person on behalf of the second.

I supposed your post should simply be titled "Where can I buy a puppy in Udon?".

Just thinking aloud.

Indeed, I did.

Can't find a valid reason not to. In fact, I'm confused based on the OP's replies.

LOLx.. thanks for all the reply..

I have no problem about the judging me...Even though the subject was about buying a the cost of buying the puppy, it went till the location and reason for buying..

I am glad that everyone has their own opinion. Nevertheless, rest be assured, if any puppy is bought, it will be taken care of and it is bought after a series of consideration and not a moment of folly.. and definitely not as a gift to impress.. i think a car would be a better gift to impress if I really want to..

A puppy or a dog is a life.. we do not take a life lightly.. which is why I start this thread asking about the cost and location..

No offense to anyone and sorry if I confused you.. my friend is reading this thread and laughing too

Where night markets as much money a they think they can get from you. The other end a Wat free. You mentioned nothing about breed so what can you expect. My Siberian Husky 8K baht I knew when I bought him he would need to be in air-conditioning when I bought him. Vet once a month for flea and tick shots. Annual shots, healthy food not cheap we have three. They are fenced in and we had to modify our fence to do that. They are not allowed roam free. Listening to pissed off neighbors. When something different comes into our area they let us know.

What we get in return unconditional love, I don't know how to price that, so what does it cost?
