Ban Chiang - Similar site in Lao
I have been to the Plain of Jars, Xieng Khouang Province in Laos twice, and I have been to Ban Chiang once. I saw nothing in the latter site that resembled anything at the jar sites in Laos. But then I only was in the Ban Chiang village so perhaps there are jar sites outside the town that I am unaware of.
The Ban Chiang Museum had a number of jars but they did not resemble the ones I saw in Laos. I see nothing in the article that compares any Ban Chiang jars to the ones in Xieng Khouang.
By the way, the ancient myth is that the jars were containers to keep beer.

You only pass through this life once, you don't come back for an encore.
