Children's Day

Post by Jello » January 13, 2012, 6:46 pm

Can anyone tell me where I can find a list of activities happening for children's day tomorrow?

Trubrit recommended the police dog training center last year, Did anyone else go to that? What
time does it start?

Childrens day in Non Wau Sor

Yes another year gone by. Its children's day this coming Saturday 14th. Here In Nong Wai at the police station the BIB will be putting on a bit of a show for the kids with competitions ranging from a talent show for the young ones and 5 a side knockout football for the teenagers . Plus of course lots of food and coke donated by the families around .
In Udon proper the usual govt organisations will be opening their doors and laying on some entertainment. Amongst them.
The army and air force bases at Wing23, with a static display of military hardware, plus several fly pasts during the afternoon and the army will be airborne with their gyrocopter team .As if that's not enough the police dog training school out on the Sakhon Nakhon road past Big C will be putting the dogs through their paces. Some thing for all the family to enjoy which ever you choose to go to . I also understand that the Complex cinema is doing something for the youngsters as well, but as this is a private enterprise I cannot be sure what . \:D/

Thanks TB, I must have missed that post. Do you recall what time the police dog training school opens to the public?

Can't be sure but I normally go about midday, not this year though I am judging a miss beauty competition locally. Don't get excited its for under 11's. Might be a few contacts for the future though .

Children's Day

Unconfirmed as yet but I believe this Saturday is Children's Day at Wing 23 so anyone not attending may wish to avoid the area particularly Tahan Road which can be a bit congested.

Children's Day

Children's Day, January 9th. The Army Base (Kai Prajak) is opening their gates from 8-noon.

As always, expect traffic to be extremely congested throughout town, especially around Tahan Road and around Central/UD Town.

I also WOULDNT fly that day unless urgently needed.

1000's of kids allowed airside, riding on baggage trailers with parents, all walking around, with minimal security.

Security scans inside become a joke, when you see what goes on airside.

There is a Thai saying that states, "Children are the future of the nation, if the children are intelligent, the country will be prosperous."

Say no more!
