Cheers 747 and thanks to Bob's early morning crumpet scout at Central managed to buy a loaf there.

Forgot their bakery is quite nice for some items

Wazza, I Bought what Mega Market calls A Raisin Loaf.....35 Baht Decent Size,But the Raisins are all stuck in the same part of the loaf....Go Figure ??

talking of fruity things, the other day I was in a shop and they had German stollen loaf , 1.79p ,made in Germany. silly cheap

Its been a long time since ive had crumpets !! Love them with melted cheese. I used to get them in villa market Bangkok occasionally when I was living down there , but havnt seen them up here . I havnt even thought of them for years !! I will be looking for them now .

They are very easy to make if you have some rings to make them in.
I tried making them & came out pretty good but not as good as Andy made them.

Chef Andy used to make them when he was at City Lodge & they were fantastic also at very good price.

Try contacting him on the Le Gallery thread to see if he can make them again.
Or go there for the Friday specials as advertised on here & talk to him.

I would go with Andy too Pal, and Geordie Pete as well . both of them make good products
