Even sadder is the fact that, for over two years, I had been unaware of the passing of a 'local' character, with whom I was acquainted and who, in his absence from sight, I had completely forgotten.
Set me off down the melancholy road of trying to recall other Udonthani ex-pat acquaintances and, yes, even some considered good friends, with whom I had socialized over the past 27+ years, that I had also simply forgotten ever existed. The result was sobering.
