Resently my Big Bro in Chiang Rai callled me from the Dr's Office there. He was having a 3 tooth replacement, with the mesial and distal tooth being the abuntments, (anchors), Started out as a 3 tooth bridge over implants, , but the lab split the 3 teeth into 5 teeth and billled for extra work. But not as much as the Dr;s 20,000 each, additional charge. But as 20 some years experience proved to me, the extra teeth are never billed to the Dentist by the lab, Instead the Dr see;s an opportunity to charge for each additioanal tooth. And most do.

Last week a filling broke, I booked as always with Wattra Dental Clinic opposite the bus station. Saw an unqualified dentist and was told I must see specialist for root canal, post and cap, about 20k baht, second time for this type of diagnosis in the past few years. Being fed up and realising they are now cash scammers I left never to return. I went to a dentist 50 metres down from Landmark on the same side towards Nong Khai. The female dentist speaks perfect english, rooms are spotless and high tech, she repaired the filing in 30 minutes, no injections and no pain, 700 baht, UD Clinic now has our family business, fantastic.
Hi Fatbob
Can you shed some light on the name of this clinic please. Looked on a map but can’t seem to find it

Its called UD Clinc.Walk out the front of Landmark and turn left,, walk to the traffic lights. Cross over the road and its about 15 yrds on the left. Have to book up, I am there next week after a two week wait. I like it much better than Wattara for one theres plenty of room to sit .
