I read that Rooneys wages were 13m GBP for the remainder of his contract.Even if they still have to pay half his wages its a good saving just to get him off the books.
Superb player in his day but in a steep decline for the last couple of seasons.Surprised Koeman has agreed to the deal being done unless he's happy for someone else to be called "fatty" at Goodison ? :D
But Rooney is already taking his new role at Everton seriously. Here he is at a McDonalds drive thru in Macclesfield early last week ! ;)

LUKAKU TO APPEAR IN US COURT

Police in the United States have confirmed Belgium international Romelu Lukaku was arrested for raucous partying in Beverly Hills, California, and will appear in a US court in October.

Lukaku was arrested on July 2 after officers warned him five times to turn down party music at the same location.

6 ex Everton players are to appear for the defense to explain the felling of relief felt when escaping from Goodison :-"

MORE FROM LUKAKU

“I’ve always said I want to play for a team that is challenging for every trophy that there is,” he added.

“I think Manchester United want to be that dominant force. If you look at the history it says enough.

“To become part of a club like them is something I really wanted and I am thankful for the opportunity they gave me.

Now it’s time to work hard, harder than I did before, and I am willing to do it. Hopefully it will come a good way.”

Personally I'd prefer to sign a player who will ALWAYS give everything for the team than one that knows he doesn't give everything and is prepared to admit it [-X [-X [-X
