No feast of football here in what the BBC describe as 'an error-strewn encounter'.Bayern Munich 1 Real Madrid 2
Certainly advantage Madrid, but the showed real issues in defence that must have delighted Klopp - or maybe just reminded him of many training sessions this year..
Re: European Cups 2017/18
Lets hope this poor guy makes a full recovery.....
Roma have condemned the "abhorrent behaviour" of some fans after a Liverpool supporter was attacked before the Champions League semi-final.
Two men from Rome were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after Tuesday's attack on Sean Cox, 53, who is in a critical condition.
Roma said those involved at Anfield had brought "shame on the club".
"There is no place for this type of vile behaviour in football," a statement read.
The victim, from Dunboyne in Ireland, has a head injury and is being treated in hospital.
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson said the "thoughts and prayers" of those at the club were with the injured fan.
"The only result that matters to us now is that he recovers and can return home to be with his family and loved ones," the 27-year-old wrote.

Re: European Cups 2017/18
Dimitri Payet was the main man for Marseille as he set up both goals. Are probably well satisfied with how the tie has gone so far..
Re: European Cups 2017/18
Harder for the reigning champions than I thought after the first leg.Real Madrid 2 Bayern Munich 2
(Agg 4-3)
Indeed Bayern pulled a goal back almost from the kick off.
At 2, 2 on the night the visitors had a couple of chances to win both the tie & the semi-final, but couldn't quite make it.
Madrid have been far below their best this season but in this competition they just keep churning out the results...
Re: European Cups 2017/18
No real surprise that Pool are finalists, but it did end up being a close call..Roma 4 Liverpool 2
(Agg 6-7)
Having conceded 5 in the first leg Roma got off to the worst possible start by giving up another after just 9 minutes. They went in at half time being 2 - 1 down on the night & 7 - 3 down in the tie. They managed to win the second half by 3 to nil, but that left them just short.
Madrid against Pool should be a game worth watching for any neutral...
Re: European Cups 2017/18
Good summation Bob. A few iffy decisions in the game. Have a relative heading to Kiev for the final, as you say should be a decent watch.
Re: European Cups 2017/18
With two dodgy defences the Final could well end up 5-4 !
Congratulations to Liverpool and I hope they go on and lift the trophy.
In a week where the two Koreas appear to be settling their differences after 60 years of conflict will we see another momentous occasion on Udon Map where 747man gives his well wishes to Liverpool for the Final ? or is that really "Mission Impossible ?"

Re: European Cups 2017/18
No,I think quite a few United fans hope Liverpool win....in Europe you should support the British team, whoever.
I even supported Everton when they were in the Europa League, for a week or so wasnt it,back in September.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Re: European Cups 2017/18
Given the stadium holds 63000, anyone know why Liverpools allocation is only 16000 tickets?
Surely UEFA and their cronies have learnt their lesson by now and aren't keeping 30,000 for the corporate black market
