When I first moved to Udon in the '80's we lived in that area on Soi Prachasanti. I used to call that "the dirty ice" good for chilling beer in an ice-box but not for consumption. i was always fascinated how they shaved the blocks of ice waiting for the operator to lose his thumb on the upturned plane.
