FA CUP 2017/18
Re: FA CUP 2017/18
Some good results for the smaller teams yesterday. Coventry beating Stoke, I was happy about that.

Not really the right thread for that 747, but it looks like excellent business to me.
Bought for £8.5m sold for £142m.
Midfield players were hardly something Pool lacked, but they bought Salah, Oxlade-Chamberlain & Naby Keita before they allowed this to happen..
Plus, the real thing they needed to do in order to progress, they also have spent a shed load on Virgil van Dijk. Maybe overspent, but they knew the money was coming back..

Perhaps they will draw Everton in the FA Plate silly me, we don't have a "plate" competition in Football for those knocked out at the first hurdle do we

All in the stride scouse. How did you find the local derby the other night
May the bridges I burn light the path in front of me
Re: FA CUP 2017/18
Surely the result of the round was last night.....Nottingham Forest 4 Arsenal 2
Managerless Forest thoroughly deserved their win. They never allowed Arsenal to settle and ran them ragged.Arsenal did make a raft of changes from their last game but their side still contained several internationals.Arsenal paid the price for underestimating their Championship opponents.
Their only chance of a domestic trophy is now the League Cup but they face a tricky two legged tie against Chelsea in the semi final.

Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

The balance the day after..
Re: FA CUP 2017/18
Well, for all you VAR dissidents out there. Eat yer hearts out. Watched Foxes v Fleetwood Town Replay. One "goal" disallowed, the whole of the ball being shown on replay to have crossed the goal line prior to being crossed and tapped in. One goal allowed after initially being disallowed by a linesman's flag for offside. video replay showed the player Ineacho was clearly onside. No yellow card shown to the lineasman either! The quicker it's introduced into PL games the better. Too much money involved let alone Manager's livelihoods!

Re: FA CUP 2017/18
Lets do away with the players/lino's/refs and just show a game of FIFA 18 on a big screen for everyone to watch. ..... or better still turn all the grounds into office blocks and give the fans remote control buttons to adjust their x boxes at home.
Goal line technology was the thin end of the wedge, and that's now had to be suspended in France coz of too many mistakes VAR causing problems in bundesliga, and how long before football rules have to be changed to suit the computer and its programmers? Yeah I know ..... we all said that they couldn't change safety issues in businesses to suit a computer programmer but they did :-&

Re: FA CUP 2017/18
Just seen that 47% of Bundesliga PLAYERS want VAR scrapped.
How long did it take to make the VAR decision last night ......... oh yes 1 minute 44 secs

One VAR match doesn't make a summer
Too many video refs spoil the broth
Ya can lead a ref to VAR .... but ya cant make VAR get in right
See no Clear & Obvious error. speak no Clear & Obvious error and ya ref will hear no Clear & Obvious error
