Hope this helps,Each fall, Monarch butterflies from Canada travel approximately 4,000 kilometers to Mexico. This fall migration is an incredible phenomenon. Since they cannot survive the cold winters of Canada, they fly to the Oyamel Fir Forests of Central Mexico where they will live for about six months

Have a friend caught at Swampy last Friday evening after an international flight, could not get a flight from either airport to Udon (do not know why he didn't prebook). Found a taxi = 6000 to Ban Dung.Yesterday we tried 3 travel agents in Pattaya for a w/way ticket to UTH. First one quoted 3900 Baht. Second quoted 5000 baht. Called Thai and they quoted 5500 baht. Put phone down and went back to the first agent.
She looked on line and told us " price go up to 5000 Baht",
Then she said"No seats left sorry"
Now in Swampy awaiting the evening Vietjet flight.
Won't get caught again.

My post was with reference to another member being quoted 5000 baht for a o/w to UTH for next week. The closest I have found close to that is the 4480 baht on 'prime-time' Thai. But still a 50% jump!I got my AirAsia app working and the following o/w fares from Don Muang to Udon Thani on Tuesday next week. Nothing near 5000 baht.
