Some ladies do actually tell the truth, but it is hard to ascertain what is truth and what is not. family ties are stronger than we think and what the parents say will have an impact, not many will ignore family no matter how old they are.

As with all these matters, everyone has to make their own choiuces, the OP had heard the negatives and some positives, but in the end has to make his own choice and decision. If you are hapy to provide whatever it is being asked for then do so, but never never spend more than you are prepared to lose. if you do not lose it, BONUS.

I agree that everyone has had different life experiences regarding relationships in Thailand and abroad and through them have gained their own opinions.
The comment below makes assumptions that everyones experiences are the same by saying "Most" possibly should have started the sentence with "In my opinion" or "my experience of relationships in thailand"

"most relationships in thailand work with a 2 way bennifit, farang has the company of a beautiful thai woman, the thai woman has security with money, this mutual relationship can last long time if she is happy with money you can afford to pay her,but it will finnish when your money runs out rember that"

most is not everyone, and do you not agree that most thai women at first are attracted to farangs for the money side rather than the physical attractions,or do you think money does not come into it ,and they rather an older farang, with language barrier than a young handsome thai man with many interests in common, not saying relationship can not develope into a happy one with both parties concerned, and i,m not saying all thai ladies think like this

I.ve said my bit about this, but will ask a question. When and if you get to know a Thai lady ( in some cases I'll use that word loosely ) after a while you may or may not go your own way. How many times do they ring you just to ask if you are Ok or when they ring you, is it because they miss the dosh you gave them for whatever it was they did for you ?
Personally I think in 11 years I have had two who rang me, just to ask how I was, and I am living with one of them now. Nuff said I think.

This reminds me of that old Elvis song, 'Tell me baby, face to face, how could another man take my place'? Answer:- 'Money Honey...Money Honey...Money Honey, if you want to get along with me'.

'Heartbreak Hotel' is about a guy who kills himself although that is not mentioned in the song. 'The broken-hearted live on lonely street where the desk clerk is dressed in black' etc.

I'm an ugly fat old man. But, I got real hansom ATM card

I remember when I came here saying to myself this is about money, nothing has changed, so going through the door I knew that. If it's different for others I'm happy for them.

Luckily I have enough money, But, I wouldn't if I didn't control it,

I would say to the OP there are exception's But, in all probability it's about money. Would you give money to a girlfriend in your home Country after dating them for a month?

You can forget about those rules really don't apply here. What makes you happy is important, this lady was making it before you came into the picture. What changed?

Just understand what your dealing with. If you get happiness from it. That's as good as it's going to get.

So I guess you look like a rich tall effeminate pale faced well groomed Thai dude with a great set of hair? Good luck with the rich chicks because if they are like the wealthy girls on Thai soaps they are very hard work.

Oh dear I'm not told this all the time. It's often when the Mrs. wants something from me. I better go see the cosmetic surgeon tomorrow so I can look like you other fellas. I'm hoping you don't look like these rich tall effeminate well groomed Thai dudes with great sets of hair.

When young beautiful girl dates an old fat guy it's $$$$$ driven in any country, I don't think Thailand is unique in that respect.

Do you think Hugh Hefner's girls would be hanging around him if he was a plumber.
