AC Milan have stepped up their interest in Everton's Gerard Deulofeu by publicly confirming that they have made an offer for the Spanish winger.
Deulofeu's Everton future has been subject to much speculation over the last few weeks, with reports suggesting Ronald Koeman would be happy to sell should he be able to find a replacement.
The Spaniard was said to be a target for AC Milan, and now the Serie A club’s president has confirmed that they have made an offer, and that the ball is in Everton’s court.
Milan sporting director Adriano Galliano has gone public on their interest.
He reportedly said: "AC Milan has already demonstrated its will. It’s up to Everton to decide."
Everton boss Ronald Koeman: 'Everybody knows my opinion - we need new players'
Elsewhere this morning and QPR are reportedly targeting Everton striker Arouna Kone.
Get West London report that Kone is on a list of strikers the Championship club could target, with Ian Holloway keen for an experienced recruit.
A loan move is mooted, but Kone's wages are said to be one possible stumbling block in the deal.

Morgan Schneiderlin: Man Utd and Everton agree £22m fee for midfielder

Manchester United have agreed to sell midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin to Everton for £22m.
France international Schneiderlin, 27, was signed for United by Louis van Gaal for £25m from Southampton in July 2015.
He has played 47 times for the club but has only featured eight times under Jose Mourinho this season, including three Premier League appearances.
Everton, meanwhile, have agreed to loan striker Oumar Niasse, 26, to Hull, with personal terms still to be agreed.
The Senegal international signed for £13.5m from Lokomotiv Moscow in February 2016 but has played only seven times for the Toffees.
Following United's 2-0 win against Hull on Tuesday, Mourinho said: "Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward informed me that the situation is close. Morgan is more than probably going to Everton.
"I am sad and happy, sad because I like him and he could be an option for us, happy because this is what he wants, to play every game and be important in the team."'
Manager Ronald Koeman demanded the club make January signings in the wake of their FA Cup third-round exit to Leicester.
They have already signed 19-year-old forward Ademola Lookman from Charlton for £11m.
If Schneiderlin, who was also a target for West Brom, moves to Goodison Park he will work with Koeman for a second time, having spent two years under the Dutchman at Southampton.
Koeman still retains a strong interest in another United player, his countryman Memphis Depay, who is also an Old Trafford outcast.
Everton, however, may face competition from abroad for the 22-year-old, who joined United from PSV for £25m in May 2015.

Everton are closing in on their third signing of the January transfer window after agreeing a £10.5m deal for Standard Liege's Algeria forward Ishak Belfodil.
Director of football Steve Walsh identified Belfodil, 24, as a potential addition and Everton are now hopeful of taking their spending this month to around the £45m mark.
Everton's transfer activities have moved up a gear since Koeman demanded action after the FA Cup third-round exit to Leicester.

The France midfielder, 27, is expected to cost the Toffees up to £24m. They have already signed Charlton Athletic forward Ademola Lookman, 19, for £11m this month.
Belfodil, who is not in Algeria's Africa Cup of Nations squad, is currently training with Standard Liege at their warm weather camp in Spain but is expected to fly to Merseyside before the weekend to complete the formalities of his move.
He only joined the club in the summer and has had a nomadic career, including spells with Lyon, Bologna, Parma, Inter Milan, Livorno and Baniyas in the United Arab Emirates.

Payet wants to leave West Ham

West Ham's Dimitri Payet has told the club he wants to leave.

That might trigger some action!!
He has not looked the same player as last season, but the Hammers have struggled all over.

However..

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic says West Ham will not sell Dimitri Payet despite the Frenchamn asking to leave.

"We have said we don't want to sell our best players but Dimitri Payet does not want to play for us. We are not going to sell him," Bilic said.

"I spoke to the Chairman and this is not a money issue. We gave him a long contract because we want him to stay."

Payet was very good last season but I always got the impression he was a moody player who only turned it on when he felt like it,similar to the likes of Benteke and Lukaku......this impression may be completely wrong,of course.
If I were West Ham I'd cash in.....if Marseille are willing to pay 19.1 million for a guy who cost 10.5 million that would be a decent profit.
They could well get 20 million plus,maybe......

EVERTON DENY DEAL

AC Milan might have claimed they have signed Gerard Deulofeu on loan, but Everton are saying no deal has been done.

Everton officials are understood to furious at the announcement as they do not believe negotiations have reached a conclusion.

It Doesn't MATA What Milan Say......Everton insist no deal has yet been agreed for Gerard Deulofeu - despite AC Milan announcing they had signed the winger on loan until the end of the season.

Milan declared this evening on their official Twitter account that the Spanish winger would spend the rest of the campaign at the San Siro.


However, Blues officials are understood to be furious at the announcement and are adamant they are yet to reach an agreement with the Serie A side.

Milan later deleted the tweet indicating Deulofeu had signed.

Negotiations have been ongoing for the past 10 days between the two clubs, with Everton having already rejected one loan bid by Milan.
