Leeds United: Marcelo Bielsa signs contract to become new manager
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/44460259
Bielsa has previously managed clubs in his native Argentina, Spain, France, as well as Chile's national side.
The Argentine has spent time in charge of Athletic Bilbao and Marseille, and was previously at Lille.

However, he has been out of work since December after being sacked by the Ligue 1 side following a run of three wins in 13 games.
Mmmm. All sounds like a recipe for success then.. :D
Good luck Leeds fans....

A very strong rumour that former Cheltenham Town boss,Mark Yates, will be unveiled as the new manager of Macclesfield Town, later today, with former Silkman,Neil Howarth,as his assistant.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

There you go...…. ;)
Mark Yates: Macclesfield appoint Solihull boss as manager
Macclesfield Town have appointed Solihull Moors boss Mark Yates as their new manager on a three-year deal.
Yates, 48, takes over the National League champions after former boss John Askey was appointed as Shrewsbury manager in June.
Yates had been in charge of National League Solihull since November 2017 and has also managed Kidderminster,Cheltenham and Crawley.
"I'm really pleased. It's happened really quickly but I'm joining a club with momentum and a club that are on the up," he told the club website.
"Everybody at the football club did a fantastic job last season and I just want to carry that on in a very competitive League Two.
"I'm looking forward to working with the players that are here but also bringing in some new faces too."
Yates led Moors to an 18th-place finish last season, six points above the relegation zone, having been bottom of the table when he joined them in November.
"I'm delighted to announce Mark as our new manager," club chairman Mark Blower said.
"He has all the attributes that we were looking for and I'm sure he will be a big asset for the football club. He has all the credentials to be the perfect man to lead Macclesfield Town on their return to the EFL."
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

SUNDERLAND TO MAKE FOUR SIGNINGS

The THREE BLIND MICE have all signed contract extensions and Ronald MacDonald has agreed to run the "Cheesy Chips" stand

Sunderland chairman Stewart Donald has revealed the club is on the verge of making four signings as it prepares for life in League One.

Donald expects to be able to issue an update on Thursday with one deal all but done and three more “very close”, while there could be departures too.

Here's ONE For You, Statts......

Ciaran Clark in hospital after getting knocked spark out in Crystal's in Magaluf 🤜 💥

The most shocking thing here is more the fact that a multi-millionaire, who could go anywhere in the entire world, chooses to still go on holiday to a ---- hole like Magaluf

SUNDERLAND CASH FLOW PROBLEMS

New owner Stewart Donald has barely moved into his office at the Stadium of Light, but Sunderland are already looking for loans with cash-flow issues ramping up, reports to The Times.

The newspaper states Sunderland have been offered up to £8m as a cash injection, with a proportion of a £25m payment to former owner Ellis Short due in September.

What price THREE straight relegations?

"‘DEFENCE COMES FIRST’

Liverpool have confirmed Naby Keita will wear the No 8 when he officially joins on July 1 - but he says he is a defensive midfielder first and foremost.

He said: “Firstly I am somebody that plays in a defensive role and we need to start with that. But then I need to bring the ball forward and help the attack.

"I've always got a desire to win - I believe I'm a winner."

One question Naby mate ........... "I've always got a desire to win - I believe I'm a winner."

if that's true WHY did you join Liverpool, who are experts at failure?

The chaos that is Sporting Lisbon continues at a pace... :D
Sporting Lisbon: Sinisa Mihajlovic sacked after just nine days
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/44637931

Why was I never fortunate enough to get job opportunities like these... :D
Mihajlovic, 49, signed a three-year contract on 18 June, five days before the dismissal of previous president Bruno de Carvalho.

Rooney to swap Everton relegation battle for America
Wayne Rooney.jpg
Everton striker Wayne Rooney has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Major League Soccer club DC United.
He will officially complete his move when the US mid-season transfer window opens on 10 July.
There is no transfer fee but it is understood DC United have agreed a compensation package with the Toffees.
The 32-year-old's deal is worth £10m, meaning he becomes the highest paid player in DC United's history.
Everton and DC United made the announcement simultaneously on Thursday afternoon.
Rooney will make his debut when the club open their new 20,000-capacity Audi Field Stadium on 14 July.
"Moving to America and MLS fulfils another career ambition for me," Rooney told the club website.
"I have the hunger to be a success here and will give DC 100% - as I have always done for every team I have ever played for. Now I can't wait to get on the pitch in a United shirt and join my new teammates to bring success to this club."
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.
