Connection to UM really quick now. Is it just me or are others experiencing a quicker connection?.

I think Lee had to 'splash some cash' on the server side.
Yes it is currently as quick as any web site when loading for me..

That's good to hear Gary. Bob's correct, I moved UdonMap over to a brand new server which is more up-to-date and has more resources available to it. The old server was getting very sluggish, especially since the website gets a lot of traffic flowing through it these days.Galee wrote:Connection to UM really quick now. Much improved for me also.... thanks.

I'm seeing a big difference in opening and navigating Udon Map. UM's speed is now on par with other sites that I use regularly. No more frustration moving from topic to topic and logging in or out. Thanks Lee!

What really annoys me, is that no matter how many times I click, ' Always lg me in automatically every time I access thsi site' it NEVER does.
Now why is that, I use the same computor, same IP address and yet every time I visit Udon map I have to log in, bloody annoying and time consuming I can tell you.
Anyone have a sensible answer pleas ?

Well the 'always log me in' works for me Paul...not much consolation to you I know...
Infact the only time I ever have to log in is after I have done a major clean up of my PC.
From that I suspect that I am being automatically logged in via a cookie.
My deduction is, therefore, that you are either running some program (like CCCleaner or a virus/spam killer) that deleted saved cookies or that you have your Internet Browser (which ever one it is) set up in such a secure mode that it is refusing to save the Cookies for UdonMap.
If it is the later then, in most browsers, you can alter the settings to a less harsh restriction, or, in some, add the UdonMap site as an exception to the 'do not save Cookies' rules.

If you're using Internet Explorer:
Go to Tools: Internet Options: General Tab. If the "delete browsing history on exit" block is checked, you'll probably have to log on each time you exit your browser. Uncheck the block and see if that works.
