Granite Worktops

Has anyone got any details and cost of granite Worktops for a kitchen?

We are 're doing' our kitchen and require some granite so any recommendations or costs would be appreciated

Bought granite worktops about two years ago from a place on the Nong Khai highway just before Udon Thani International School. Don't recall the price but it was very reasonable. They came to the house to measure up and the next day fitted them perfectly.

i also bought there back in 2012.
good range of colors and the cutting and edge-polishing was professional.
reasonable prices by that time - may be different nowadays....

Going East away from Big C on Hwy 22 there is a Granite shop on your right just before Thai City Market. Can't remember the price.

Just finished building last October and used the granite shop about 5 ks out on the Nong Kai highway, just past Do Home on the left hand side. Very good range, very good customer service. I also done three bathrooms from there as well. Very happy and no complaints with their workmanship.

One on the highway referred to did some fine work. Actually got some granite tops as part of a kitchen package, but the highway shop joined a couple of left over bits to top off a low dividing wall. Excellent.

indeed it's different nowadays.
today i was there to ask for a white stone 1.5m x 0.55 m.
the "lady" said 7'000 thb.
so i thought FUOA > bitch you are.
that "offer" was just too crazy to start any negotiations.
stupid people nowadays.
just absolutely greedy.

for me it's game over with that shop.
they won't see me anymore there.

Sorry you had a bad experience at this yard.
Not sure what you requested, granito, marble or granite but I have had good experiences there.
Prices were comparable to other places (yes slightly higher) and procured all my marble and granite from them for the whole house flooring, front verandah and rear pool deck plus the kitchen granite bench top.
Also just purchased a very nice 3mtr x 1.5mtr piece of marble to feature on the kitchen cupboard. We will cut on site. Was 10,000 bht and 1000 to cut and fit once the kitchen is installed.

I used that shop to do my kitchen bench top and was quite happy but forget the price.
2 months ago i went to another shop just a bit further on on the other side. Our house builder said they were cheaper than the other one.
Had my office bench top made there.
L shape. 4m x 2m x 600 wide.
Marble 18mm thick.
Cut and shaped and rounded edge.
6000bht.
It was on special.
Nice people. Range not as big as other place but worth a quote.

mine was only 1.5m x 0.55 m = 0.825 m2

When we remodeled the house we used the 24 inch square tiles. They are quite thick and shiny. Since they looked very nice, we used them for the kitchen counter tops and for an island work area in the outside kitchen. Lot of different colors available. They still look like new and are holding up very well.

I fancied the granite for the new kitchen we are doing - but wife went for the 24 inch tiles also. Certainly a lot cheaper
