Leeds United 3-0 Preston North End
Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 Newcastle United
Chesterfield 1-0 Port Vale
Scunthorpe United 1-0 Bolton Wanderers
Wycombe Wanderers 3-3 Cheltenham Town
Guiseley 0-1 Forest Green Rovers
Macclesfield Town 1-4 Dagenham & Redbridge
Bradford Park Avenue 0-0 FC United of Manchester
The Preston loss, coupled with the Wednesday win must all but put an end to Preston's hopes of a play off place. Fulham keep up the pressure on Wednesday for the final spot with a win of their own but after suffering a loss of form for the past few weeks it was a significant home win for Sheffield again Newcastle. With only 5 left to play though Newcastle still remain 10 points ahead of 3rd. placed Huddersfield.

A Shrewsbury win sees Vale back into the drop off zone, but it is all mighty tight down there with 4/5 teams battling to keep out of the 2 relegation places & only separated by a couple of points.
A much needed win by the Iron to remain in play off contention. It still looks probable that Bolton (7 points ahead with 4 to play) will still gain the second automatic spot.

Hard fought point for Town as they battle back, having been reduced to 10 men, for a point. Newport win to put the pressure back on those immediately above the drop zone though, with Cheltenham now only 4 points away from danger with 5 to play.

Lincoln remain top on goal difference but second placed Tranmere make a huge dent in that advantage with a 9 nil home thrashing of Solihull. Rovers do all they can & remain a distant 3rd. Macclesfield's hopes are all but over as they have a man sent off while ahead & suffer a damaging home loss to also play off hopefuls, Dagenham.

Massive wins for both the Iron , Leeds ...and Sheff Wednesday ... its gonna go right down to the last game or so and Bet Fred must be nipping his arse cos months ago DM had a wager that Scunny , Leeds and Sheff Wed will be in the playoffs ..didnt say they would win just in the playoffs .

Rumour..... in Kumpawapi and NBLP as BOTH the Leeds faithful Panmotor and Adhoc celebrated a rare win for the mighty Whites by consuming copious amounts of ice tea and fairy cakes , tho im told Adhoc has swapped aligence now to NBLP FC and even had shirts made to show the fact ??? , does anyone really go watch NBLP FC ?? .

From the Urban Dictionary:

"iron hoof

Cockney rhyming slang for poof (homosexual). Typically as with most rhyming slang only the first word is used in conversation."

Seeing you in a whole new light DM. Enjoy your party but don't know why Gordon Ramsey will be there - as you say he is a Cunny fan.

DM
Sorry I haven't posted for a while, I've been well. I celebrated the return to form of the mighty whites with a beer or 3. Hopefully it's full steam ahead for the rest of the season.
Big game coming up next Friday. LUFC at the Toon. 3 points for the mighty whites, [-o< I can feel it in my water.
The rumour .... it is true I have adopted Nongbua Pitchaya FC as my second team, and yes people do go to watch them.
Yesterday saw a crowd of almost 2,500 for the visit of PPT Rayong. Which for the size of the town is a higher percentage than go to watch UDFC. The shirts ..... also true, I don't know where you get your information, DM.
The NPFC farang fanclub shirt. If you ask me nicely, I may post some pics. 8) 8)

A 10 men Lincoln City (for 15 minutes) beat a 10 men Chester (for about 15 seconds) to go top of the table by 3 points with a game in hand. They will be grateful to Forest Green who trimmed the wings of their nearest rival, Tranmere, to enable that.
Macclesfield strolled to an easy victory but still need to find 6 points on their promotional play off rivals with 5 games to play. But all they can do is remain putting in performances like this & hope that others fail..

EFL to use goal line technology from next season in the Championship.
Will also be used in this season's play offs.

Newcastle United 1-1 Leeds United
Milton Keynes Dons 0-1 Scunthorpe United
Port Vale 0-3 Sheffield United
Crawley Town 0-0 Cheltenham Town
Forest Green Rovers 2-0 Chester
Woking 1-0 Macclesfield Town
Not unsurprisingly the top of the table North East battle ended in a draw. With Brighton winning, they sit 4 points clear at the top. Huddersfield have put a 4 point gap between themselves in 3rd. & the chasing promotion playoff contenders. The Leeds draw has rather brought them back to the, now, group of 4 chasing 3 spots.

The Iron give their playoff chances a big boost with 3 points. That looks like being a fight for the 4 spots with 5 teams in contention until the end though.
Vale probably never expected too much against the probable League 1 champions & remain in the last relegation spot. Gillingham have a good home win to rocket them up the table to 17th.

A hard fought for & deserved draw for Town, however Newport pulled off a win & so they are now only 2 points clear of the drop. Hartlepool also managed a draw as it remains mighty tight to see who will accompany Leyton Orient on a league exit.

Lincoln City are drawing away again at the top of the National League. They win & still have a game in hand over nearest rivals Tranmere who can only draw. Rovers look almost certain of a play off place while the Macclesfield loss almost certainly means more of the same for them next year...

Nice result for Sheffield in the earliest Easter Monday game.
Sheffield United 3 - 0 Bradford City
Will mean a bit of nervousness in the Bradford ranks for their play off spot till season end..

Ah the other early game has now ended & this is a bit closer to my heart.. :D
Cheltenham 2 - 1 Grimsby
Town had a great first half & went in 2 goals to the good. The nerves started to kick in then & when Grimsby clawed way 1 back with 20 minutes to go I was fearing the worst!! However the ref intervened & sent one of the visitors for an early bath so we managed to sneak through.
With 3 games left for Town to play they are now 5 points plus a goal difference away from danger. Just need a couple of results to go our way shortly to breath a little easier, but that is unlikely although 2nd. from bottom Newport are away at high fliers Plymouth !!

Ipswich Town 3-1 Newcastle United
Leeds United 0-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Oxford United 2-0 Port Vale
Scunthorpe United 3-1 Chesterfield
Cheltenham Town 2-1 Grimsby Town
Macclesfield Town 1-3 Solihull Moors
Southport 2-0 Forest Green Rovers
Darlington 4-2 FC United of Manchester
As they get to the final hurdle Newcastle are struggling to claim that automatic promotion spot. Brighton win & are now promoted, while Reading now seem to be the ones trying to spoil Newcastle's joy. However with 3 matches remaining Newcastle are still 6 points & a +30 goal difference in front,
Worse for Leeds as the drop out of the play off places on a -9 goal difference,

Pretty dismal Vale display against an Oxford side who have not exactly set the division alight & have little to play for. Vale remain a point from safety.
Chesterfield go down as The Iron had a very comfortable day at the office.

With Newport getting a stuffing away at Plymouth & almost certainly gone Leyton Orient beating 3rd. from bottom Hartlepool, it was, for once a happy day for the faithfully few Town supporters. It still needs 2 wins out of the remaining 3 to make it a certainty that league football will remain though!!

The Silkmen are playing for nothing but pride while Solihull are fighting the drop. It showed.
Rovers are hitting another bad spell just as the play offs beckon, not the best time to do so.
Lincoln remain on course to take the automatic spot while Tranmere continue to chase them to the end & must be favourites to win the play off battle.

FC United again playing for the shirt while Darlington are looking at a play off place - it showed!!

Not much chance to keep up with the results at mo , after the SK hols its back to the grindstone and away again to Bkk later today .

DM not singing n dancing just yet Zid ... the Iron can still sneak the second place automatic promo spot that would mean a FREE BEER EVENT at the Tap for sure !!! , the playoffs no good for my nerves as could be up against Iron nemisis Millwall or Bradford much prefer Fleetwood ...

Still on the bright side ,,we are safe from relegation unlike Vale :( and Gillingham :(

6 points from the Swindon and Coventry games would be nice ..

Not a great day fro the mighty whites who have chosen the wrong time to go off the boil , im sure leaving the 3 Asean Leeds fans Khuns Adhoc , PanPaul and Niggly deflated ...
