DONT FORGET FOLKS ...

Todays BIG game ... Donny Rovers V Scunny ...may battle commence and it probably already has at the Arndale shopping center n numerous pubs in Dumpcaster ... very nice of SUFC to provide traveling Iron fans with face masks to stop the inhillation of the toxic coal dust fumes that blight the town ..

Fingers crossed for an Iron away win .. DMs gran was a Donny fan silly old trout ...alas sadly no longer with us after falling down a redundant pit shaft chasing her wippet in the town center .. RIP Gran and Streaky the wippet !!!

The real talking point of the lower leagues is the sacking of 'Arry by Birmingham.

Funny, I thought it was the sacking of Michael by Vale :-k

MICHAEL BROWN SACKED

The sacking period (November?) seems to have come very early this year
Gary Caldwell at Chesterfield also sacked.Things not looking great for John Sheridan at Oldham,Keith Curle at Carlisle and John McGreal at Colchester either.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Doncaster Rovers 0 1 Scunthorpe United
Bit of a damp squib as far as a 'derby' went with the Iron doing enough after 10 minutes to win the game.
It is enough to ease the visitors up to 6th. in the table, where Shrewsbury Town are starting to develop an early lead (5 points) over the others..

After LUFC's reality check at Millwall, back in action tonight at Burnley. Major changes to the side expected.
Given the choice of winning tonight or 3 points on Saturday against Ipswich, it's the 3 points every time.

Some of the Cup results suggest that some sides are not taking the competition very seriously!!

The balance play tonight..

A sigh of relief at Goodison Park. That is until fourth round fixtures were announced. Interesting? Stat: the ex Toffee players on show for the BLACK CATS (Darren Gibson, James Vaughn Jack Rodwell) had chalked up more appearances for Everton than the entire players on show for the blues on the night! tures

What can i say ..EXCEPT .... UP THE IRON !! twas indeed rather pleasing to beat our flat cap n wippet racing yokels on their own turf , apparently the game was close to being called of as a pre match pitch inspection found an inch of coal dust covering large areas .. source - an old gran living next tot he ground lit her fire to toast some crumpets .

Sure as hell glad the toon have a black & white army (we'll probably get accused of racism by those from the Indian Sub continent) ........ be VERY VERY careful Adhoc/Niggly/Pan et all .........

A "Super White Army" banner was covered up during an England football match after a picture of it was shared online by one of the team's top players.

The sign at Tranmere Rovers' ground was obscured by the FA for the Lionesses' World Cup qualifier on Tuesday, hours after Lucy Bronze shared it online.

Her post received criticism and praise.

Tranmere Rovers Supporters' Club said it did not know why it was covered, adding it was "not remotely racist" and referred to their team's shirts.

England's Lionesses had been embroiled in an ongoing row before the match over discrimination allegations made against the team's manager Mark Sampson, who has since been sacked over an unconnected matter.

The FA confirmed it took down the banner at Prenton Park but said it would be making no further comment.

Probably coz they were too embarrassed to admit they (yet again) listened to some idiot at "kick it out" and didn't tell them to go take a VERY VERY long walk off a short pier

The weekends biggest game see the Iron take on once great (long time ago when my gran was at school ) Pompey.. hoping Scunnies home form can match up to their away and they can bounce back after the last home Blackburn loss.

Elsewhere Leeds entertain Ipswich Town ... managed by Mick Mc carthey ...that alone has me hoping for a Leeds win as this guy has got to be once of the most negative managers out there on par with Woy possibly .. this ones got 0-0 rit all over it .

tough game today away but Come on Vale ...

Forest Green Rovers 0 2 Swindon Town
Another poor result for Rovers, but they had hung onto the draw up until the 86th. minute before conceding 2 late ones.
Today, bottom placed Vale face also struggling Yeovil away, while Cheltenham face a journey 'up north' to high flying Accrington Stanley.

Another great win for the mighty whites against a good Ipswich team. Looking very tight at the top of the championship.
Elsewhere, a good win for one of the many teams in claret and blue over Pompy.
A tough game coming up on Tuesday for LUFC, away to Cardiff, but I can see the 3 points already.
