Tuesday's National League match between Maidstone and Macclesfield was postponed because of travel congestion on the M25.

A serious collision on the motorway caused long delays and, after consultation with match officials and the police, the decision was taken to call the game off.

No new date has been set for the rearranged fixture.
Sutton had an easy home win against mid-table Woking to cut the Silkmens' lead down to a couple of points - with last nights' postponement in hand. Aldershot ease into 3rd. place, a further 3 points back, pushing the much fancied
Tranmere down into a play off place..

The Macc players arrived in time for the match having travelled down the M6,M1 and then the anti clockwise part of the M25,M20 to get to Maidstone.
It turns out that several of the Maidstone players who live and work in the area would use the clockwise part of the M25 to get to the ground and it was on this part of the M25 that the big accident occurred.
At first the match was delayed, then postponed.....just one of those things.....nowt you can do about it.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

Leeds 0 - Wolves 3

I seem to be the black parrot on Leeds shoulder since I paid for the premium sports channel to watch the games

was the same with the toon.
bad enough thinking that you wasted the time to watch a load of tripe WITHOUT the knowledge that some erk has charged you for the privilege. I just use the free streams now where its only my time I'm wasting not my money as well.

Would have thought that most of the LUFC matches would be available on free tv or stream Niggly

Reading 2 - 2 Leeds United
Wigan Athletic 3 - 3 Scunthorpe United
Forest Green Rovers 1 - 2 Notts County
Grimsby Town 1 - 1 Port Vale
Swindon Town 0 - 3 Cheltenham Town
Macclesfield 3 - 1 Barrow
The season end can't come quick enough for Leeds' fans. Exciting game at Reading, but both sides looked out of sorts.
The Iron not ending the season as they would have liked. That is now 4 draws & a loss in their last 5 & are starting to look like they could slip out of play off contention.
Vale were unlucky not to take 3 much needed points from his game, but as both Chesterfield & Barnet lose their position ever slowly improves.
Mohamed Eisa scorers another couple as Town remain in mid-table heaven.. :D
The Silkmen had to come from behind & it remains close at the top of the table with Sutton also winning & Tranmere making a bit of a move into 3rd. spot..

Result of the day in the Conference......probably AFC Fylde 7 Aldershot 1.....Aldershot were in 3rd place prior to the game.
AFC Fylde have had some amazing results at home against the top teams....beat Macc 6-0 and Tranmere 5-2.
Yet they sit just outside the play offs....youd think they would be title contenders with that sort of form !

145 years ago today ....

1873: The Scottish Football Association was formed when representatives from eight clubs met at the Dewar's Hotel in Glasgow.

Good job someone took the minutes, as I doubt many would have remembered what they agreed to

If time travel is invented and someone goes back to that meeting do football a favour and tell 'em not to bother

This chap isn't prepared to wait for VAR to come to Greece....... :D
PAOK president with a gun.jpg
PAOK Salonika president invades pitch with gun [-X
The Greek Super League has been indefinitely suspended after PAOK Salonika's president invaded the pitch with a gun during a match on Sunday.
Ivan Savvidis tried to confront the referee with a gun in a hip holster after his side had a late goal ruled out for offside against AEK Athens.
AEK's players left the pitch concerned for their safety and did not return.
The match was officially abandoned two hours later and local police are seeking Savvidis to arrest him.
Deputy Sports Minister Giorgos Vasiliadis announced the abandonment of all top-flight matches on Monday after a meeting with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
Savvidis, one of Greece's richest men, was born in Georgia of Greek heritage and is a former member of the Russian parliament.
He asked his team to leave the pitch after PAOK had a goal ruled out for offside in the 89th minute and then marched towards the referee with two bodyguards before being pulled back.
PAOK are third in the Greek top flight and could have moved within two points of leaders AEK with a win.

Using Lone stars theories we should all be calling for match officials and players to be armed so as to reduce the number of shootings #-o  ](*,)

Barnet 1 Port Vale 1
Vale went behind in the 4th. minute to the divisions' bottom side. They got a second half equaliser though & so move up to 18th. place - 7 points away from danger, with 10 to play. The 1 point was enough to move Barnet off the bottom by goal difference. Them &/or Chesterfield need to find 6 points on those above to avoid Conference football next season.

The top 3 in the Championship played last night..

At the weekend Villa had made a bit more of a competition for the top 2 places by thumping Wolves.
Villa failed to capitalise on that last night by suffering a surprise home defeat to QPR. As Villa only managed to score a very late consolation while QPR managed 3 in what was only their 3rd. away victory all season it was a bit of a puzzle.

Wolves returned to winning ways & Cardiff continue to grind out the points & they are now 7 & 10 points clear of Villa with everyone now left with 9 to play.

At the bottom....Sunderland, Burton & Birmingham all look in need of a miracle, but if one does manage to string some results together then Barnsley are only a win above them..

With Leeds United's season effectively over, attention turns to local football.
A big game in Udon on Saturday, a local derby, when 5th place Udon Thani FC take on table topping Nongbua Pitchaya FC :D
Can Udon bounce back from being mauled 5 - 1 by PTT Rayong last week? Or will Nongbua continue their winning ways?

https://www.facebook.com/UDFCInternatio ... 70/?type=3
I will be there, supporting Nongbua Pitchaya.

3 Lions ??? more like 1/2 lion and 2 1/2 Jack asses.

Often wondered if Southgate EVER looked at the pitch, as whenever the TV cameras have picked him out in the crowd he is always facing backwards and talking to someone or staring into his groin.

Blatently obvious now that he doesnt [-X

Just realised theres FOUR keepers  ........ for 2 friendlies ........ surely even that t*sser isn't stupid enough to play them half a game each ..... there again he was stupid enough to pick them in the first place
