Woking 2 Macclesfield 3......another late winner for Macc, this time in the 4th minute of injury time.
The match was played in atrocious conditions and rivals for the title,Sutton United, had their match at Maidenhead postponed at half time, due to a waterlogged pitch, when they were leading 3-2.
Macc now 6 points clear at the top but have played a game more than Sutton.

THE BIG LIVE GAME finished ..Oxford 1 Scunny 1

DM post match analisist .... the ref wants shooting after going to the opticians .. Scunny totally dominated the first 45 mins and should have gone in 3 up not only 1 ..as the man in black missed a blatant hand ball on the goal line and a dubious offside...Oxford play better in the second half and get a super soft pen for their goal ..

Graham Alexander put together a very good squad ,, still cant believe Peter the chairman Swann sacked him without a replacement lined up , hearing stories that some of the players had stopped backing Alexander ??? but theres something else behind his sacking IMO ... Scunny saty in 5th after being in the top 6 all season its looking like they could drop away with Plymouth n Peterboro now level on points for the play off spots .

ME DRYSDALE ..... more like Grimsdale blind TW8T
Claret n Blue all way thru .. Up the Iron
L2 Season 19/20 Codheads 0 Scunny 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2qrsItFUug

Nice to see that England can still throw together a traditional Bank Holiday Monday.. :D
weather.png
Nenthead, Cumbria - from the BBC
Scunthorpe United P - P Plymouth Argyle - Match postponed - Waterlogged Pitch
Crewe Alexandra 2 - 2 Port Vale
Exeter City 2 - 1 Cheltenham Town
Forest Green Rovers 1 - 2 Colchester United
Macclesfield Town 1 - 0 Chester
Vale went behind, then led with 3 minutes of extra time played. It is enough to move them up to 19th.
Town went infront, but Exeter have play off hopes & just wanted the result too much.
Colchester also have play off ambitions & went ahead almost from the kick off. However, Barnet & Grimsby both lost as well - Chesterfield were rained off & now have up to 3 games in hand on others at the bottom.
Even better for the Silkmen was that second placed Sutton also lost. 9 points clear, but Sutton do have a game in hand..

Another win for Macclesfield,in front of a crowd of 2,996 at the Moss Rose, but taking nothing for granted yet as there are two tough away fixtures coming up at Ebbsfleet and Boreham Wood.
Sutton losing 3-0 at home was an unexpected bonus, though, and their next 2 matches are Fylde and Halifax both away.

In League 2 its looking Grim for Grimsby.....20 matches without a win have opened the door for Chesterfield to escape.

Why is it always footie players /managers that get extra holidays or "contracts paid up" when they are sh*te at their job, when I was working it was a P45 and a boot up the ar*se if you didn't do well

JFH sacked as manager of Northampton ...... basically coz they were cobblers :-$

Thats gonna have the "must have ethnic minority" brigade getting their knickers in a twist again [-X

When will they just accept it that there are very few (if any) ethnic minority guys out there capable of managing a football team in the top 5 or 6 divisions [-(

Fulham 2 - 0 Leeds United
Back to normal condition for Leeds fans as play off favourites Fulham brush them aside.
With few games remaining, Wolves might look stuck on champions & Cardiff favourites to automatically join them, but Fulham look the most likely to come through the play offs..

The other side of the managerial merry go-around,I guess......RIP.

Dermot Drummy: Former football boss took own life

A former football manager killed himself six months after losing his job, an inquest heard.
Dermot Drummy, 56, had been seeking counselling for his "low mood" after parting company with English fourth-tier side Crawley Town in May 2017.
The former Chelsea youth coach's body was found near the A414 in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, on 27 November.
Assistant coroner for Hertfordshire Edward Solomons recorded a verdict of suicide.
Det Con Elaine Adams, of Hertfordshire Police, told The Old Courthouse in Hatfield that police had received a call from Mr Drummy's wife at 09:57 GMT saying he had gone missing, which was "out of character".
'Forgive me'
A search began and police discovered his body in woodland. He was pronounced dead at 12:29.
Police later found a note from Mr Drummy to his family which he signed off "I hope you forgive me".
Det Con Adams said there was "no reason" to believe there were any third-party influences in Mr Drummy's death.
The court heard from his GP, who had recently seen him for an unrelated issue, and said he was seeing a counsellor "for low mood after losing his football job".
Mr Drummy, a former youth player at Arsenal, worked as Chelsea's academy boss and later reserve-team manager, before taking the role of international head coach in June 2014.
After leaving the Blues he took over at League Two Crawley in April 2016, departing the club 13 months later.
Mr Solomons told the family at the inquest "it was clear he was tremendously loved."

Cardiff 0 - 1 Wolves
Massive win for Wolves in their quest to return to the Premiership. They need just 5 points from their last 5 games (no matter what anyone else does) to achieve that. They have caused a fair bit of controversy amongst their rivals as to how they have actually managed to get many of their 'loan' players at the club but, personally, I will be happy to see them back.
Cardiff had plenty of opportunities, including 2 missed penalties in extra time alone, to get something out of the game. With a 5 point gap between them & their rivals an automatic promotion place is certainly theirs to lose though. I must admit that with the owner & manager currently at the club I will not be quite so enthusiastic about that as Wolves.. :D

Today sees LUFC at home to Sunderland. Hopefully we can do our bit to help them on their way to successive relegations.
Lower down, Scunny are away to AFC Tennis. 8-[
On the local front: no game for top of the table Nongbua Pitchaya this weekend due to an odd number of teams in the league.
Tomorrow 5th place Udon are home to Army Utd.

Indeed adhoc a win today for Leeds would put the Mackems in whole lot of trouble with successive relegations a distinct possibility.

Scunny away at Wombledon and after months upon months of being in the top 5 they also in need a a win to keep in touch with the play offs.

DM predicts

Leeds 1 ..Mackems 2
also
Wimbledon 1 Scunny 2
Claret n Blue all way thru .. Up the Iron
L2 Season 19/20 Codheads 0 Scunny 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2qrsItFUug

Leeds United 1 Sunderland 1
AFC Wimbledon 1 Scunthorpe United 1
Barnet 1 Forest Green Rovers 0
Cheltenham Town 3 Morecambe 0
Port Vale 1 Crawley Town 2
Ebbsfleet United 2 Macclesfield Town 2
Eventful game for Leeds but they couldn't have the satisfaction of sending Sunderland down - although League 1 football next season looks almost a certainty for the visitors - 5 games to go & 7 points from the drop.
The Iron went behind early & took until late to equalise. The draw was not enough to keep them in a play off spot though. Looks like a couple of matches against Sunderland next season as this season seems to be ending a couple of months too late.
The bottom end six pointer went wrong for Rovers. It is going to be a nail biting time until the end.
All too easy in the end for Town as they canter towards a mid table finish. Some bright omens for next season, if they can keep the squad together, but the had a dreadful season start.
Vale seemed to be in control, against a very out of form Crawley, until the ref gave the visitors a very weak penalty. From there they managed to record their first win in a couple of months & leave Vale still at the wrong end of the table..
It was going well for the Silkmen, 2 up with 20 minutes to play, but then a penalty & a sending off altered the game. However with second placed Sutton then going on to lose away to promotion play off hopefuls Fylde they actually increase their lead by a point. 4 to play & 10 points in the lead looks good, even if they have played a game more than Sutton.

I think Macc would have settled for a point before the game but a little disappointing how it ended up,especially the sending off which was unbelievably harsh......another tough game away on Tuesday night at Boreham Wood.

Team,Played,Points

1.Macclesfield 42 82
2.Sutton Utd 41 72
3.Aldershot 42 71
4.Tranmere 40 70
5.Boreham Wood 42 69
6.Wrexham 42 69
7.AFC Fylde 42 68
8.Dover 42 67
9.Ebbsfleet 40 61
10.Bromley 40 60

Teams 2-7 involved in the play offs at the end of the season,so still plenty to play for.
