Where is the Happy Resort? Is it peaceful or is there a main road nearby. I would appreciate any info, thanks in advance.

Check out the 'photos and details provided by Lee under Happy Resort. Ftrom Udon you travel the Route 2 Chiang road until you get to a left turnoff approximately 4/5 kms before Nong Haan. The bungalows are excellent, the large swimming pool is maintained in sparkling condition. It has the added benefit that the pool is NOT open to anyone and everyone, and so can be enjoyed to the full. The lady managing the resort (and the well stocked on site village shop) is pleasant and very helpful. The resort is situated well away from the main road, in a small village. It is definitely the place to go if you are looking for somewhere that you can relax, and are someone who enjoys some peace and quiet. We have stayed there on three occasions and have returned home mightily refreshed. We are selfishly hoping not too many people will discover our little 'getaway' secret, thus leading to it becoming just another overly commercialised resort among the many. The telephone number is 089-6210410 (Thai language needed). Mathusalah.

Happy Resort - Nong Haan
Nice place but nothing going on in village so you need transport to get to Nong Han 10 minutes away or Udon Thani 30 minutes. (Mind out for the police spot checks)
The resort is okay but the people looking after the site sometimes “forget” to supply water, coffee, clean towels and do the cleaning.
Have got to admit that it is expensive for what it is as there are much cheaper places available with better amenities.
No food is offered or available and the people running the site are not very professional and not very sociable/friendly and only seem interested in your money.
