Fast Track departure gate has an AOT staff member there checking your Business Class / First Class boarding pass and the Fast Track Card you get from the airline on checking in.

They are quite strict at this end And Ive seen numerous pax redirected.

Disability pax use this entrance with airline / AOT staff supporting this.

Spot on Wazza, I use this as I am in a wheelchair when travelling around all airports due to long distances involved.

Just an observation. I flew into Suvarnabhumi yesterday. The queues at immigration were as bad as I have seen but, at Fast track, there were 2 officers with no customers. I was able to pick my bag up from the carousel before any of the people in the queues arrived so saved at least 30 mins.

I had intended to ask the officer if any Thai residents could use fast track but, he didn't seem to be someone who you could pass the time of day with!

Regarding inbound, are you talking about the separate, small Fast Track Hall between to east and west main, large Immigration Halls OR the fast track lanes on the far side of the main, large immigration halls?

I think the former is reserved solely for Business and beyond travelers. The latter is for Economy class disabled, family groups and seniors but can be temporarily open for others upon invite by a bored Immigration guy.

Outbound Fast Track as commented, needs to have appropriate class of travel and/or a Fast Track card given at check-in. They are date-stamped now so can't be saved for a rainy day.

I still think that foreigners with long-term visas only get the inbound fast track access notification from the national carrier.

As I stated, the information on "foreigners residing in Thailand may use the Priority Lane at Immigration" was in the video played before landing.. I specifically told the greeter I had retiree visa and he replied, "if you already have a visa you can use the Fast Track lane."
I just re-read your original post on this and you used the Priority Lanes inside the main Immigration Halls. The Business-and-above Fast Track Hall will probably knock you back.

Got to be honest, not sure myself. The bit I went to is partitioned off from the main immigration hall and is the Business Class area (or in my case, being a pauper, users of an Etihad Gold Guest card!!!)

I cant see this ever happening!!

Immigration Bureau today issued an order forbidding immigration police at all border checkpoints to demand tea money from tourists, with warning that violator will face dismissal.

The order came after the bureau commissioner Pol Lt-Gen Nattathorn Prohsunthorn led a team of immigration police from the Immigration Bureau 6 based in Songkhla to inspect the Sadao immigration checkpoint in a fact-finding mission following complaints that tea money was collected from tourists to facilitate their entries to Thailand from Malaysia.

He ordered the relocation of the problem immigration checkpoint to the new office building while also ordered the installation of more CCTV cameras to monitor the working of immigration police closely.
