You are doing all the right things Frans. Try to forget now, think before you move away, I take it you are staying in Udon long time. There are places in Thailand which are as friendly as Udon, places with expat populations similar to Udon but think before you make such a big change. But remember there are "bargirls" of some kind pretty much everywhere so try not to listen to their b****hit because as the saying goes "how do you know a bargirl is lying? She opens her mouth".
There are plenty of nice decent girls everywhere, everywhere. Look at proper waitresses, Robinsons girls, civil servants, girls with market stalls I even met one very nice girl on a bus to Korat (she was too jealous though and had to go!).
Take care and good luck in your search

Ps I do have experience of bargirl relationships and have seen the same thing happen to many others. These girls are good at their job!

I always thought that was politicians, scouse.

But anyway, don't let that stop the flow of cliches and hackneyed phrases.

Never thought of that but how true for politicians. Just thought also the customer can be as much to blame as the bargirl for encouraging them!

If she is a Thai girl and she says that all Thai girls lie, then she confirms her own statement. ;)

YES. She was 20 years old new to Pattaya and was torn off a strip by her older friend for telling a farang to much.

Oh, don't be so serious. It's only more of the same drama.

They will only tell you what they think you would like to hear.

So, in fact in their way of thinking they do you a favour. Going to Pattaya is like going to the theatre. ;)

Isnt that just a nicer way of saying

Yes i would agree with you. Going to Pattaya is like going to the theatre.
Many farang that live or come to Thailand a lot. Will take what a bar girls says with a pinch of salt.
But far more farang will believe what they have to say and will try to help by giving them money.
Rules of the game. Is to get as much money out of your farang before he learns to play the game.
This is achieved by
sex and lies, sex and lies, sex and lies, sex and lies, sex and lies, sex and lies, sex and lies, sex and lies, sex and lies.

Colin.
Looking forward to more "Sex and Lies" on my next visit to Thailand.

If that's what you are looking for, then that's what you will get and probably all you will know. Hence, only true in the situation you put yourself in (sex tourism / prostitution).

Good luck in Pattaya.

The result will be that the decent Thai ladies will avoid sex tourists, but that doesn't mean that decent Thai ladies don't exist.

IS THIS A SCAM ?
So i have been writing in this context.
If you want to start a thread about Decent Thai Ladies.
Then maybe i could learn something from you ?

As for myself i have been with the same Thai Lady for two and a half years.
So that makes my flipant remark.
Looking forward to more "Sex and Lies" on my next visit to Thailand.
A little bit over the top.

welshboy , hey butty
i am not throwing stones .
what you or i do , is our choice .

in summary , the chances of finding a half decent bar lady , one who prostitutes her body ,to any prkc,
and then a farang expects to have a sincere lady , and a secure life long relationship with her,
well in short theres more chance of a piece of shiet , rolling up the rhonnda valley to porth .

myself ,, i have recently ended a relationship , with a thai lady , she is in a salaried job .
the reason being her greed , for the usual ,, you have heard all before .

there are certainly many decent thai ladies , BUT NOT IN THE BARS .
the 3F rule ,, is a hassle free , and a lot less painful on the wallet .
LOL :D

Sigh!

So many "experts" who are happy to generalise, but who really don't have a clue.

In many cases I suspect the Thai lady is also more than happy, and better off, when practicing the 3Fs. And they are doubly lucky, because they have the baht in their pocket. :D
