I found an electrician in the end, fair price and good work. Tel. 042-325460 or 089-276-2503 He installs air-con's too!

We have a small triangular block near Nong Bua market on which we would like to build student accommodation.

Would a recommended builder such as Khun Thiti be likely to survey the block and propose plans of maximising the available space on the block for a fee? Is this the best way to get started?

I would appreciate any advice.

ps: Thai language is no problem.

Hi All
I was hoping some more people would post some recommended builders here, with all the houses in Udon there must be a lot, and a lot that people here know about.
I want to get a list so I can do a bit of a shop when I return as we want to build two houses on a large block, but I would prefer a builder who can do the lot, eg. building, carpentry, tiling, glazing, plumbing & electrical so I don't have to chase around, a turnkey house.

We are a Surin based company but we also travel .We just built a house in Khon Kean not long ago,but we only do start to finesh houses no small jobs ,my name is Alan, www.alanthebuider.com the web sight is under construction at the mo .Im happy to give addvice to anyone thanks Alan..

Dont put the goalposts facing the windows or you will need a glass repair person , if your a good kick.

Alan would it be cheaper if you dont get two storys............if old one day ,, l dont want to be going up stairs even if it has great woodwork.....like yours laugh.......
My tw loves big windows and opening (sliding doors) to bring the out side in. l think its a great idea to bring the light in to rooms.
If we found a house here in Australia we liked and they gave us the plans...would you be able to get a price to build .
Thats not now as still saving.

I am looking for an Udon carpenter who can install a sliding door on an en-suite bathroom.

If they are also good at quality fitted furniture and the price is right, I may also need some additional cabinets and storage built in.

I also have a need for 2 custom-built shower stalls (the stuff available locally isn't to my liking or large enough).

Any names and phone numbers of decent local artisans would be appreciated.
