As I said a mere skirmish as that insurgency was a bloody disaster in any event . The USA did not declare war.

"The USA did not declare war"

Tell that to the 282,000 who died (Allied troops) from 1965 to 1974

and the 1,071,000 civilians and Vietnamese troops

Its ok we aren't at war

My mothers cousin was killed in The Vietnam War and your comment is insulting to myself, my family and members such as Wokka who laid their lives on the line in Vietnam .

Military service was great for me and as I reflect back I cant imagine life without what the Army did for me. I can understand enlisting in the Thai military not speaking the language might seem a bit challenging but I would venture to bet you could turn it into the experience of a lifetime and have a great time. Man up and go for it!

I don't think they take people who can't speak, read or write Thai. If they do, then you can bet that person will end up doing crap details for the duration unless they buy their way into being some officers servant...

KP, you're starting to talk like Trump. Maybe time to open a twitter account, neh?

Hi Mal 123,

Apologies for the late response, just out of hospital after hip replacement. Our grandson travels only on Australian passport. He has a keen interest in Australian Military at end of school year and the OP was submitted due to concerns of his mother that there may be complications if he had any Thai obligations. Thanks for your input, you have been most helpful

You again say that your grandson 'travels only on an Australian passport' - my question was does he also possess a Thai passport? Can you clear this up?

Thanks.

Congress has voted 23 times to authorize limited military engagements including Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. Many of these votes come after American forces have already been engaged by the executive branch.

The problem is the Amercian understanding not the actual fighting as I said a skirmish NOT a WAR.

Hi..

The Air Force Reserve gives service members the opportunity to train and serve on a part-time basis, as needed.
