Looking for a farang to be a surrogate groomsman. An honest request from a lady who is thinking of her future husband, who might be overwhelmed by an all Thai affair. If I was British and a lot younger I would help out.

I could do it as I speak Thai but don't have appropriate clothes for the occasion
Plus would it qualify as "working" so violating my visa
Pity as sounds like a good gig

Its not a piss take. She has already posted this on FB and I signposted her to this forum as she does need help. There is her profile on FB with her BF. She actually lives in the UK.

It was a beautiful wedding. Held at the home of the father of the bride near the airport. Nice couple and Thai family. The father is retired Thai Air Force.

Handsome...what an understatement Ray!!

Were you the stand in groomsman or do you know the lucky couple.
I'm sure they had a great day and good luck for the future to the couple.

It seems to me, from reading this over and over, these are UK people wanting to get married in Thailand.

If i am wrong please point out where does it say one is Thai and one is UK.
A Thai marriage means "nothing in Thailand," unless you have 'the money in the bank and don't miss any 90 day stamps.
Then it really still does not mean anything. you could have children, but miss the money or 90 day forces and you are out
has anyone been reading the stories about "Beg-Packers" marching into Thailand. They expect Thais to pay for all heir expenses, while they jump from country to country.. Spoiled rotten rich family misfits.

A young English man married a young Thai lady. They married at the Amphur. The wedding took place at the father's house in Udon.
