Online meeting / stories to tell?

Post by FrazeeDK » November 23, 2011, 3:04 pm

so, the "good girls" in Thailand dress conservatively "i think you can tell quite quickly on how a woman conducts herself and her family to figure out the type she is, also in Thai decent women are pretty conservative in dressing....the other ones not so much." While gadding about in Bangkok at the so very high-so malls (Gaysorn, Peninsula Plaza, Central World, Siam Paragon) those extremely beautiful and obviously wealthy Thai women wearing extremely short "shorts" (the current styles!!)) are not "decent" women??? While they way people dress publicly can be an indicator of their wealth, class etc. I find over the last few years that folks from the ever so "hi-so" classes whom you would assume to be "decent Thai women" do indeed affect shortie shorts, and (shudder) small tattoos!! So, how do you determine who the real "decent" people might be..??? The way people dress does not necessarily indicate where they come from, or how they may be "classed".. My wife is regularly accosted by other Thais who say, "oh, you can't be a meah Farang because you don't dress like a meah Farang.""..

Frazee, "High-So" and "Decent" are two completely different concepts. One may be high-so but not decent, or one may be decent but not high-so.

The way one dresses may be an indicator, but wearing a nice dress doesn't make a person decent. Most of it is in behaviour/body language/attitude. How does she talk, is she polite, does she use the right language to the right people, how is her posture, does she have an attitude? These are all indicators of her sense of decency. If a girl wears shorts (fashionable shorts and not the bargirl type of shorts) or a skirt, you can also see how she behaves and how her attitude and way of speaking is towards others. It's the whole package.

Most Thai people notice these things in an instant (as well as most farang women).

Sara mentioned that Thai ladies are in one of the oldest game ever play when they burn up our accounts !

I met my wife three years ago out of Thailand where she was working for a company, we married she resigned and returned home , built new home bought a car and I burnt my account to extreme extent......

Her thoughts and believes are changed to mine, we have a one year old son now apart of her own 6 years olds son.

Is that mean I'm part of her game ?

I think it depends on why she resigned her job and why you burnt up your account.

If she behaves like a parasite, only spends a lot of money and behaves like a spoilt child, then probably: yes.

If you have a mutual understanding and you support each other and care for each other in many ways, deviding tasks, efforts and energy, then probably: no.

I think it's not about Thai people specifically. The original post in this topic is about Americans. It's more about who you might meet on internet dating or chatting, good or bad, from any country.

Especially in tourist areas all over the world. There are scammers already waiting for them. This happenes in Thailand, Nigeria, India, Brazil, Spain, Greece, to name just a few. Internet has become an extra place for those people to make contact with their future victims.

So, when meeting people on internet, just be careful ... with people from all over the world.

I've met my wife on internet, and she is the best that has ever happened to me. Internet is just a meeting place where you can meet all sorts of people, good or bad.

So, I think it is good to know how to be careful and to get some advice about what kind of people you might be able to trust or not.

A couple of years ago I met a Farang man (English) in Bangkok, who only came to Thailand as a sex tourist. He didn't want to pay for prostitutes. So, he went online on ThaiLoveLinks to meet Thai girls, and made appointments for a date with them. He pretended to be serious and he made the girls think that he was looking for a serious relationship. However, he was only a player, dating as many different girls as possible to have free sex. Most of these girls were decent girls. He had several girlfriends at the same time, all of them thinking that they were the only one.

So, this kind of people (players and scammers) can come from any country, and can be men or women.

Nobody deserves treatment like that. The players/sharks/scammers are wrong, not their victims. It's never wrong to trust people, although you might trust the wrong kind of people sometimes. Only a bit stupid if you give all your money to people you don't really know.

Learn from the experience, but be careful not to carry it with you into your next relationship(s). It would not be fair to the next guy to be thought of as the same as the last guy. If the next guy has to "prove" he is not like the last guy, then that is a recipe for disaster and perhaps the beginnings of a cycle or string of more failed relationships. I'm speaking from lots of experience on the matter, but it is just my opinion...

On the general subject of positive online meetings, I had some positives and negatives back when online dating was in its infancy and not the popular thing to do. I used to travel extensively, so that was pretty much the only option for me back then. Not wanting to continue with the mostly hit or miss nature of it (and constant anxiety about whether or not she/they had other online suitors), I narrowed down the type of woman I really wanted, stopped working for a couple of years, and stayed in Thailand looking for her in person. Just after I had given up and relocated to Hawaii, I returned for a farewell to all my friends here and met my wife. Almost 8 wonderful years and counting...

I do know of a couple who allegedly met via TLL. Not a good situation for either of them. She ended up with a guy she mostly supports, two kids, and mooching off her upper-middle class parents. He left his two young kids in the States to marry and be with her here (I suppose because he knocked her up). He screws around every chance he gets while she stays home with the kids.

Another couple I know met online then married and relocated with her daughter to the States. He's military (and into gay porn, it turns out) and she sees him maybe 2-4 weeks per year. Mostly she stays home alone with their (now) 3 kids while also putting herself through college in preparation for the day she eventually leaves him. She gave up everything for that guy, but ended up being pretty much enslaved as a homemaker with an elderly recently divorced father-in-law with Thai-girl fantasies who wants to get in her panties when he visits (gross!).

Wish I had a positive story to share, but it seems all of the positive stories are about people who took the time to meet and develop relationships in-person... 8-[

OT's not tried the online method of securing a date yet. I'd find it difficult, well more like impossible to touch a WFB's bum whilst whispering sweet nothings in her ear via a keyboard and screen.

Talking about something else, who does this remind you of?

Great catch, OT! Man, you are the keen one with the eagle eyes!

...or not? lol! ;)

My avatar is of Jack Johnson. The greatest of all-time (sorry, Ali). Google him - or better yet, watch the biography about him. He was quite amazing. Especially given the times back then. A true hero, historical figure, and his own man in every respect. A shame his notoriety has long since diminished. Perhaps you caught one of his bouts in person, OT? (soz - couldn't resist the jab. (Oh, KD scores with a pun to the mid-section! ;))

Actually, I've been quite busy lately and have not logged in much. :)

One of the things occupying us is also a very sad update to the story of the young lady in my story who lives in the States. She is 24 and was recently diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer. Surgery was Tuesday. We still do not know how she is doing. Neither does her husband who is away (he rarely ever contacts her - by choice - not circumstance)...

So, get a PAP smear and tell all your friends, too. Our friend felt and appeared perfectly healthy. Now she's looking at a less than 15% chance to survive even 5 more years, assuming she survived the surgery...
