Just used Grab. Home to airport. 50 baht. Airport taxi is 200.
Arrived in 3 min. Helped load 2 bags in the car. Dropped off outside Thai Smile terminal. Got a trolley for me amd unloaded the lot.
Couldnt fault him.
Gave him 100. Went to give change.. mai pen rai krup.

Re: Parking at Udon Thani Airport
I'm loving grab. Used one to take me to pick up a load of stuff then drop it off. Fraction of the cost of a taxi or Samlor. Not had a bad car yet and several of the drivers I've had have spoken very good english.

Best thing is you use the map to show your pick up place and destination so even if the drivers speaks zero English he just follows his map.
Highly recommended .

Go to google playstore
Re: Parking at Udon Thani Airport
I parked there this morning for a flight to BKK at 12:10. All barriers open, no charges
I had a bumper sticker in Texas that read 'Beam me up Scotty'. I often wish I could find one in Udon Thani
Re: Parking at Udon Thani Airport
I found years ago twas better and easier to arrange for a friend or even a Taxi to pick up and drop off and the same upon returning, no hassle , no hidden problems knowing your own vehicle is secure and safe .

...but I'm only dropping by to grab some Nayung coffee beans and one of them VT Namneung dinner boxes for the tribe.

Got back from BKK at 19:20. Free but getting out of the airport took forever. The airport authority need to fix that single lane exit. I think it took me 15 minutes or more to simply exit

Sadly been like that since its inception from an Air Base to a an Airport, the RTAF have the final say at the moment .
