Thank you Lee and Photoman
I have all sorts of stuff I’d like to exhibit if I could find a gallery - land & seascapes, people, flowers, animals, weird things, modern art etc. etc from different countries.
Here’s a few that I have in my own house

Hi Arosolius...I really like the Buddha picture. The use of grain enhances, and in a way, softens the stone. :) I assume it was added post exposure, but with the framing, it is hard to tell and could be natural. Nice effect!

Is the second pic infrared? Not sure what it is, so perhaps need to see it bigger. Heh, or maybe I just need new glasses. ;)

The photo of the ferrets is excellent...catches their inquisitive mood quite well.

Not sure about the last pic. It is an interesting pic with the colors, but I am torn as to what I am seeing. Is it a hot springs, or a landscape shot from a high altitude (perhaps that is a cliff edge bottom right?) with color substitution maybe? In any event, it is a very interesting photograph.

Thanks KB
Yes, the Buddha was a sharp colour pic before I Photoshop’d it.

The second pic was a fairly uninteresting pic of a cliff with a cave in it & you can still see the trees on top. I just played with it in Photoshop or some other program – I can’t remember which.

Here’s the original of the last pic. It was a rock pool at the beach taken without a polarizing filter and therefore not much of a pic before enhancement. For my house I adjusted the colour to what you saw previously, cropped it and just kept the middle third to make a panorama. I put it in a black frame with a white mount and a thin red border. It looked quite good against the white lounge room wall wall until a friend came around and his wife wanted it so I sold it.

Arosollus ,

My favourites are the two soft effect people shots .

I am not that keen on landscapes or any good at them to date , but I can appreciate good shot .

Well done enhancing a mundane shot and turning it into a saleable piece of art .

Buddha ... I like this also , I think you can make a print of almost any selected part and make a good print .

Roy ... keep them coming , its nice to see something different .

Thanks for your generous comments guys.
I'll over over now and let others contribute - I don't want to hog the subject.

Ah, with the original I can figure out what you did. :) It sort of looked like a radar image from space, or some of the hot springs in the West of the US, though they are usually yellow vs. red (figured that maybe you pushed the yellow to red). A titdal pool is not too far from a hot spring. ;)

I had a shot of the edge of the ocean in Hawaii, shot from atop a 300' cliff that looked a bit like that (less the colors of course), so I was confused as to what the eye was seeing. To me, a photograph you have to think about is a good picture.

Hey, I think the idea here is to show various forms of photography, so do not be shy. The more people can see of various subjects and enhancements, the more they can think about what they would like to do.

Heheheh, what a typo. I would say a titdal pool is a far cry from a hot spring, unless you are watching Japanese anime. Then they are the same. ;)

Hi KB
Now there's a funny thing. I just looked up the word Titdal & it’s a legit word; something to do with the cosmos.
Just so happens I have some Titdal images although I didn't know it lol.

From: http://www.researchgate.net/publication ... OGLE_cases

Tidal interactions have been computed for a number of extrasolar planets in circular orbits within 0.06 AU, namely for OGLE-TR-56 b. We compare our range of the tidal dissipation value with two dissipation models from Sasselov and conclude that our choices are equivalent to these models.

You can tell it's a Titdal because they use the word OGLE

Heheheheh...those snarky scientists! ;)

I think that headline has the same typo that I typed. "Tidal interactions of close-in extrasolar planets: The OGLE cases" is a perfectly sound headline. "Titdal interactions", not so much. It is funny that they are speaking of planets in the OGLE system in their article with the typo though. ;)

Heh, and you should have used your feminine form pic for the planets to fall into. With a smile on their face I am sure. ;)

Yes there is - there is a guy with many years experience in the US playing great sax around my way. In fact, I have just come home after listening to, and enjoying, his music for the past couple of hours.

Where where where? Jack?

What other musician's were accompanying him? Was there a guitarist, drummer etc.? I've been looking for somebody to play with for ages.
