Pizza Hut returning to Udon
Re: Pizza Hut returning to Udon
Stopped in on a Saturday at 11:15AM. No line and plenty of tables. Good service and food was brought to the table quick enough. Seafood Supreme, large pan, extra cheese, and an order of garlic bread sticks and two bottles of water.
My wife liked the pizza, but for me the sauce was too sweet.....very much as I remember Pizza Co a long time ago on our last visit.

Re: Pizza Hut returning to Udon
Almost a year since anyone posted any comments on Pizza Hut?
That bad?
I am not a Pizza Hut fan, never have been and that includes while I lived in the US. But yesterday, I saw the sidewalk banners down UD Town for their new 'Black Bacon & Sour Cream' pizza. Googling indicates that the pizza base is that black bread affectation, usually tastes OK just looks odd. I like bacon and I like sour cream but before I fork out 199 baht, has anyone tried it yet?
They also have a Black Bacon Korean but if that involves kimchi, then they should be reported to the World Pizza Council. I guess anyone who reckons chicken tom yum is a good pizza topping has no hope of redemption.

Re: Pizza Hut returning to Udon
I'm a long, long way beyond redemption and I must confess I quite like the Tom Yum pizza but not as much as I like the Pad Grapow pizza available at Le Gallery! Just of late though we've decided we're going to make our own bases, we used Makro ones and they're okay...ish but everyone says home made is better so we'll give it a go.

Chuchi if you're over that side you could do a lot worse than try Le Galleries pizza, they're pretty good.

and Pizza Company has had a shop that is primarily take out/delivery but has tables for sit down eating just toward's town from the old Big C pass the overpass. It is immeidately on your left just past the Big Lots store. It usually has parking right in front open.

Hey! Guys!
Enough about Gallery and Pizza Company.
This is the Pizza Hut thread and I need the skinny on their latest Black Bacon & Sour Cream creation.
Abomination or not?

Re: Pizza Hut returning to Udon
We picked up a couple of the black sour cream pizzas last week and we both enjoyed them.
They have extra seating inside compared to my last visit which was a while ago?
But still functional and not very comfortable

Cheers mac. I may splurge and get their special 199 + 99 for the second pan and treat the junior great unwashed since school's out... and I am thankfully going back to work.

Re: Pizza Hut returning to Udon
sorry tam I didn’t think it warranted another thread, pizza company are doing one called the Black Volcano
Re: Pizza Hut returning to Udon
Since pizza isn't all it's cracked up to be in LOS,... even I can make acceptable creations and I'm just a former cheese mechanic from Dunbar, I guess a homogenized, one-size-fits-all Pizza in Udon thread would probably make it a lot easier.
More black bread products, eh? I think BK had a flirtation with a black burger last year... or maybe it was McDonalds?Nothing to write home about by most accounts.
Thanks for the tip though.
Re: Pizza Hut returning to Udon
OK, stopped by mid-week afternoon and ordered the BBSC to go. Place looked busy but couldn't tell who was waiting for takeaway and who was waiting for a table as I buggered off to Tesco's while it cooked.
Took it home and shared with tam II and Mrs tam. All agreed very tasty but woefully small for a 'large' labeling. May be good value at current special offer prices but asking 299 would be a bit rude IMHO.
I'll stick with my home-made efforts for now with an infrequent double pepperoni from the Pizza Company when needs must... and someone else is buying.

I'm going to have a go at making my own dough but lately I've been eating the goats cheese and olive casino pizza out of big C, it's not going to win any prizes but it's handy to keep in the freezer and it's okay! A warning though, if you try it make sure you take the olive pips out before feeding it to your nipper.

Tips. after rolling out put the sauce on strait away , seals it and stops any drying out. then when your ready part bake the pizza first for a few mins before adding toppings and returning to the oven . this will give you a better crust and you then can have deeper toppings without burning the cheesevincemunday wrote: ↑October 4, 2018, 9:08 amI'm going to have a go at making my own dough but lately I've been eating the goats cheese and olive casino pizza out of big C, it's not going to win any prizes but it's handy to keep in the freezer and it's okay!
